I can say that the disposable camera idea is really, really common among people I know getting married. Often it's in addition to a pro. Cool idea.

i figure 2-3 of those plus my digital cam should do the trick. i just can't see $400 for 12 pics......... :angry:

Yeah, I think the whole wedding racket is shameful and a total rip-off. I'm going to have a hard time justifying having a wedding at all. But don't deprive your bride of nice pro pictures for posterity!

we've had very good luck with the digital cameras, two trips to brazil with them. that and wal mart can print a pic a lot cheaper than any professional photog. here's a price list for you, what the guy quoted me:

11x20= $95 :o

8x10 = $32

5x7 = $24

4x5 = $20

That's freakin' crazy.

I could buy a plane ticket somewhere nice instead!

exactly what i thought too. $400 an hour is rediculous! for the $400 we'd get about one dozen 4x5 pics, no negatives, no digital version. it's highway robbery! :ranting:

Well, why don't you designate someone who'll attent the wedding to be responsible for the pictures? Just choose someone you know that can take good pictures. I have a friend who did that at her wedding, so she saved a ton on a professional photographer and still had beautiful pictures. We also have good pictures that the others attending the ceremony took with their own digital cameras and later made us a CD. ;)

I guess it all comes down to having pictures of your wedding day, which is one of the most important days in a girl's life. :luv:

Is the $400 guy the only guy you could find? Like Alix said, try hiring someone that hasn't become a pro yet... it might be a lot cheaper but just as good.

I'll hire someone and I plan on having one disposible camera for each table... I think that the pictures taken by guests always turn out to be very interesting. :P

And we're married !!! :dance:

E aqui estamos, casados!

:lol: entao..nem fotos temos..oh well..
