Oi meninas!

Muito obrigada pelas mensagens!! Poder fazer parte desse grupo aqui tem sido tudo prá mim....uma verdadeira honra!!

:yes:

Brazilitaliana, estou aqui torcendo por vc!! (F)

Quanto à comida, vou tentar achar a mandioca lá no Arizona.

Daí, pra fazer a mousse eu usei a mesma garrafinha.

Obrigada amiga, eu vou anotar.

Good luck on your interview today :luv:

To aqui nervosa pra saber da entrevista!!! :blink:

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to say that as of this morning, I'm a Lawful Permanent Resident!! My husband and I went to Fresno, CA, for our interview which lasted 15 minutes at the most. We were the first to be called and were interviewed together. The interviewer was quite thorough with his questions, here is what he asked me:

1) My current address;

2) My mom and dad's first name;

3) Last time I entered the US (for some reason he asked this one twice);

4) What kind of Visa did I have when I entered the US this last time (B-2 - tourist);

5) How I met my husband;

6) Had my husband met my family;

7) How did my mother know about my wedding;

8) Did I meet anyone in my husband's family and who (as I listed the first 3 family members, he interrupted me and said that was fine);

9) He then asked for proof that my husband and I were living together, I showed them a phone bill with both of our names, credit card copies and our health insurance card copies;

10) He asked if we have a bank account together (which we don't yet), but this was no problem, he just asked to see a copy of my husband's pay stubs;

11) He asked if we had any problems in our marriage, I jokingly said that except for occasional wet towels left on the bed, everything was great, the interviewer smiled and said: gotta love it!;

12) He then asked me 17 questions similar to those found in the I-485 (ex. have you been involved in the communist party...?) my answers were all "no", and he then made me sign a sheet of paper stating that my answers were true.

13) Had I ever worked in the US;

14) Had the police ever finger printed me (except for the immigration process);

15) He particularly interested to know more about my exchange student program back in 1997 and when exactly I had left the country after the program, which I was happy to detail for him, as well as my college experience in FL, 2001.

16) He asked me if I had a college degree, and seemed pleased to find out that I do have a bachelors in PR and that I'm looking forward to going back to work;

17) He asked my husband why he married me, to which he replied "because I love her" (very touchy! heart.gif)

The interviewer then said he was pleased with our forms, they looked neat and very organized, and that our case was undoubtly approved. He welcomed me to the USA as a lawful permanent resident, said that the greencard should arrive in a few weeks (although he told me to expect a minor delay due to the holiday season). He also told me not to forget to request removal of conditions in 2008.

Thank you for everyone who helped us all the way, our case was received August 17, 2006, and we are through with the whole thing in just 70 days! ironically enough, my AP had been aproved yesterday, but I won't be needing that anymore =) We feel very blessed and incredibly happy right now!

Good luck and my husband and I wish a smooth ride for all of you still waiting!
