Agora e so esperar eles me ligarem... vou fazer as aulas aos sabados de manha. Sao so dois meses.

I haven't read the rest of the thread, but Laura, I want to warn you that if you give back Juanqui he might end up dead! They have to tell people why he was surrendered, and nobody is going to adopt a cat if that's the reason. My local Humane Society put down a cat after 3 months. Nobody wanted him because he was surrendered for peeing on a couch. They might not even put a biting cat up for adoption again. :(

Nobody wanted him because he was surrendered for peeing on a couch. They might not even put a biting cat up for adoption again. :(

I really believe the reason he bites is because he is still a kitten, and kittens usually have siblings to play with to use up all their energy. It took a while for our cats to grow up and start getting more cuddly. If I were you, I would call the person/place where you adopted him from and tell them what's happening. They might recommend you to either get a second cat (which I know you can't because of the deal you have with your landlord) or ask you if you're willing to wait a little more until he grows up to see if the behavior improves. They might also ask you to take him to a vet, which I know is another financial burden that you probably would want to avoid.

However, there's only really two options that do not involve putting in more money: wait some more until he gets older to see if the behavior improves, or return him to the shelter.

We decided to get a second cat even though the condo where we live only allows one pet (they have no way of knowing though, since we keep them indoors). It was much better for Tom to have Jerry around, they play together and entertain each other, keeping off of our furniture most of the time. Jerry is still a big baby, and likes to cuddle all the time. Tom is more reserved, but has learned with Jerry to ask for a good rub in his tummy.

I wish there were an easier solution to the issue, but it seems that you'll have to make some important decisions and perhaps some compromise as well, at least for a bit longer until Juanqui is older.

My story:

09/23/2002 - Met Chris online, there was something very special about this guy =0)

07/16/2006 - We got married in Reno, Nevada.

USCIS:

08/13/2006 - Filed for AOS, AP, EAD - they were VERY carefully packaged with a detailed cover sheet on top of each of the forms, just as VJ's instructions recommend. It was A LOT of work, but it did pay off! (we firmly believe this is what sped up our process big time)

08/31/2006 - Biometrics appointment

09/09/2006 - Received my AOS appointment date!

10/26/2006 - EAD touched and AP APPROVED!

10/27/2006 - AOS appointment at 7:30 AM! APPROVED IN EXACTLY 70 DAYS!!!

11/01/2006 - EAD approved

11/02/2006 - Email notification - greencard will be mailed as soon as it is ready! YAY again!

11/02/2006 - Welcome to the United States of America letter in the mail! Almost there! =)

11/06/2006 - EAD card and White card (a.k.a. greencard) arrive in the mail!

Journey Total Duration: 80 days

Filed for removal of conditions on 07-28-2008 and had them removed on 09-10-2008

 I agree with everything you said.

eta: I wanted to clarify that even if his biting is not really a big deal, if you put "biting" on the tag at the Humane Society, nobody will take that cat home because others were surrendered for non-behavior problem reasons. Same with the cat where it said "peed on furniture" where we don't know if he peed on the furniture because he didn't get neutered or because he was neglected or whatever, but still, that's what it said on the tag and nobody took him home. By then we already had 2 cats but I still feel bad about not bringing him home. :(
