Então meninas, alguém mais está tendo dificuldade na procura de emprego quando tem que colocar salary range? Já que aqui é diferente do Brasil que eu saberia exatamente quanto meu trabalho vale e agora estou mais perdida que cachorro cego em tiroteio.

Se eu for colocar quanto eu quero ganhar ninguém me contrata, afinal eu quero ganhar uns 100,000 por mês :lol: Now seriously, como saber se o que eles estão me oferecendo é uma quantia boa ou ruim?

Eu dei uma olhada naquele site salary.com pra ter uma idéia, mas mesmo assim ainda estou perdida.

Eu procuro outros empregos semelhantes pra ter uma idéia do salário pelo emprego.

Aqui os salários são mais baixos que nos EUA, mas 18K por ano é salário inicial em muitos empregos.

contract-to-hire, pelo que eu sei, eh bem seguro na verdade. Porque eles fazem um contrato de 3 meses pra ter aquela experiencia e decidir se voce eh bom pra vaga. E se voce nao for eles nao te contratam, mas se voce for apta pra vaga eles te contratam.

Eles fazem essa opcao pq aqui nos states a lei trabalhista eh um pouco restrita e num tem o tempo de experiencia que a lei brasileira tem. Portanto se eles nao podem te demitir por qualquer coisa quando voce trabalha pra eles...

That's exactly true. Companies often don't have a "trial period," so they use temp-to-hire as protection. Otherwise if the person doesn't work out with the company, if they fired them even after two weeks they would have to pay severence, etc. So they use this three month period (or whatever period) to try someone out and make sure they are right for the job. It's no less secure than a company that doesn't do that. Those companies probably have a probation period of 3 months or something, IME.

Also, for anything in an office, you should expect at least $12/hr, which is like 23-24.
