Can things be so different in Kansas from Minnesota? Here tattoos certainly aren't associated with criminals anymore. It's 2007! Your tattoos wouldn't be a problem unless the images themselves are a problem. If you have a tattoo of a decapitated baby, then I think it would be a problem. :)

Laura, have you thought of being a foster parent for a pregnant mama-cat or something? Most rescue groups and humane societies need people to do that and it's a much shorter commitment

The problem with fostering is that I get atttached too easily, and then I wouldn't be able to give it up. We'll talk to his family to see if someone is willing to take care of it in case we travel in August. We just can't count on his parents 'cus they're allergic and not much pet friendly (Luis's first pet ever was a dog he sneaked into the house just a couple of years ago and ended up convincing his parents to keep it), so cats are a big no no for them.

We'll discuss this with care 'cus I can't think of leaving it alone here (he asked if we could leave it here and his mom would come daily to feed it, change the sand, etc) and can't afford a pet hotel or similar (not even sure those exist in Puerto Rico).

yeah I don't know, maybe I'm seeing trouble where it doesn't exist. I'll be considering my options, I'm not panicking yet because it's been 2 weeks looking for a job. So it's early. I just don't want to be looking for another month or two without any interview or anyone interested at all, you know? So far all I've got was a bunch of insurance people sending me e-mail, I ain't selling no insurance to anybody, working on comission is bad enough as it is, doing something I hate and am terrible is just a big no no.

Oi gente,
