Nós conseguimos o visto após uma estressante entrevista. O Consul questionou meu visto de turista, negado no ano passado. Estou feliz Luke estava comigo. Eu postarei nossa experiência na Review. Eu acho que isso poderá ajudar outras pessoas com o mesmo problema.

Nós encontramos Rey, Alex and Marcela.

Agora vamos curtir o Rio até quinta-feira e voltar no Consulado para pegar os passaportes.

This is actually Alex. Just saying we got the visa too! The interviewer tried to say that Rey had lied on his J1 visa forms but we disproved this and after a lot more questions got the green slip

Pois é, passei!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Encontrei nossos amigos lá no consulado e fiquei super feliz em conhecê-los pessoalmente! São todos uns amores....

A minha entrevista durou muiiiiito tempo! Antes de ter a entrevista com o consul, conversei com um outro rapaz, chamado Flávio, que é um amor de pessoa. Ele me ajudou muito e nunca vou poder agradecer completamente o que ele fez por mim. Chorei, chorei muito de medo, nervosismo, alívio e alegria. Fiquei com medo de não conseguir e ter que entrar com um waiver. Mas no final, todos já estavam gostando de mim e até o William, que faz as entrevistas, riu e disse que eu não precisava ter medo dele. Fui a última a sair do consulado... :) No fim, até recebi uns abraços de alguns funcionários de lá!!!! hehehe Até o segurança brindou comigo, com um copo de água!!! hehehe

Muito obrigada pelos pensamentos positivos, orações, palavras de conforto, de conselho, etc. Vocês são meu suporte e amigos do coração, mesmo que a maioria eu ainda não conheça pessoalmente.

Latest steps:

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/02/2007- Interview!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got a 221(g)

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/01/2007- Evidence sent

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!

02/07/2007- Envelope received!!!

02/10/2007- Flew to the USA!!!!!!

04/17/2007- Wedding day!!!
