Alex, where did you do it? Did you do the intensive or the 6-month one? I always feel that I suck as a teacher...I guess it's just the lack of experience!!! Did you ever work as teacher??

Parla italiano? Amazing! :P

Sou louca pra voltar a aprender.

I tried to do it at Britannica (or whatever it's called) in Rio but at the time they were only offering the 6 month course so I did it at Up! Language in São Paulo. Actually I did my observation class at the school Mew was working at! She was probably there, but I hadn't found VJ back then (probably neither had she). I found I actually really hated teaching English too. I hated having to think of lesson plans and have everyone watching me for an hour or two. I felt like I was a boring and bad teacher. Ah well. I taught for awhile but I got sick of going around São Paulo to companies and houses on the bus. The company I worked for had me all over SP and it took up most of my day.

Fico impressionada! Watashi wa burajiru-jin desu...hahahahaahahhahaha!

I absolutely hate lesson planning....aarrghhhh!

Alex, I also had this feeling that I was a boring teacher, but you know what? When I quit the kids told me they'd miss me and that I had been the best teacher they had. I was only working for a semester but apparently I was the only teacher to stay in schedule and finish the book in the given time and also, they had improvement in their tests too. Made me proud. But I was completely unexperienced, never had taught before and felt I sucked big time. :P

interesting story on that link. perhaps she's playing him, perhaps she's not. i do agree that there is in all likelihood an esteem problem on both of their parts. not sure if enough information was provided to conclude he met her during some sex tourism though. it does sound like they'll be fighting a losing battle for a k-1 visa though.

I found I actually really hated teaching English too.

i think you'd make an excellent english teacher
