não tem o que agradecer. O que eu te disse são fatos que recolhi na net desde que decidimos ficar juntos. Eu pesquisei todos os tipos de visto possíveis, entrei em todos os sites sobre o assunto que encontrei (alguns são tão baixo nível que eu fiquei me sentindo suja).

Qnto à sua filha, todo K2 precisa ir à entrevista mesmo, é normal.

Ter o noivo junto dá um super apoio moral, não é mesmo?

EDIT: Alex, it could be lost, but it still might not be and it's just a delay due to the holidays. Did you use a tracking system? If you have a tracking number you can write a complaint through both USPS and correios to see if the package turns up.

They wouldn't let me use a tracking number for an international package. Is that normal!?

Hmmmmm, I think Luis mentioned something like that to me once, but if you have the receipt it still should have the number of the postage, and you could probably file a request using that.

Guys, I sent all our interview documents to Rey on Dec 14. They're still not there. It was 3-5 day service for 25 bucks or something. This was USPS and they said I couldn't track an international package or get it certified.

Does anyone have an opinion on if it's lost or not?

Joel sent me an envelope around the same time and I also didn't get anything yet. It might be a delay because of the holidays, but I really don't think so.

If you have the receipt, you might be able to at least track it until it left the US. I don't know if it's the same there, but some kinds of postages here can only be tracked inside the country (the post office cannot be held responsable after the package leaves their "jurisdiction"), but, I found out last year, that if the recipient doesn't recieve the letter, you can complain and the post office will get in touch with the other country's post office and do an inquiry. Maybe the USPS does the same...

Did you send any original documents?

Marcela, que chato isso!!! Olha só, não sei se voc6e se lembra do que aconteceu comigo, mas eles não negaram nem me concederam o visto e disse que se negassem o motivo seria fraude. Eles não ficaram com meu passaporte, mas pediram que eu voltasse no dia seguinte. No dia seguinte voltei e me pediram que voltasse no outro. Nesse mesmo dia a tarde, uma mulher do consulado me ligou perguntando onde estava meu passaporte ( achei super estranho) e eu disse que estava comigo, que o cônsul não havia pedido. Aí ela disse, mas se formos emitir o visto seu passaporte não estrá aqui....( achei mais estranho ainda, era como se eles já soubessem que meu visto estava aprovado). No último dia que voltei lá, a atendente disse que ainda não havia sido tomada nenhuma decisão sobre o meu caso, mas que era para eu deixar o passaporte e pagara a taxa do correio que independentemente da aprovação eles me mandariam pelo correio. Isso tudo é para dizer que se eles ficaram com seu passaporte é porque eles já sabem que vão te aprovar....Acho que tudo o que aconteceu comigo foi só para me assustar....

The Brasilia International Airport is only international on the name. Everything coming from outside Brazil comes from either Rio or SP...

Lisz post gave me some hope, though. I'll ask some ladies on a group I'm part of to see if anyone else had problems with mail during those last days.

Mas os aeroportos de Florianopolis e Porto Alegre também recebem voos da argentina e uruguay....

Só que como eles são hermanos, fica tudo na familia!!!

Agora com uma informação util:

O sistema dos correios funciona que nem uma rede Peer-to-peer. Cada região tem uma central, cada região tem N cidades e cada cidade tem 1 central.

Como o porto de entrada pra toda correspondencia aerea chega por Guarulhos, as cartãs vão lá pro jaguaré antes de ir pra qqr lugar para o Brasil.

Elas saem do jaguaré e vão pra central do cep do destinatário. Na central do CEP eles entregão para os postos locais (agencias) e passam para os carteiros...

entao.. acabei de ser informada que minha mae tambem me mandou stuffs uma semana antes do natal.. tambem nao recebi...

vamos ter paciencia... tenho certeza que se nao recebermos essa semana, semana que vem com certeza
