i didn't get it either until i read it yesterday and realized it was typed on a typewriter and either corrections can't be made to it with white out or none was available.

so when one makes a spelling error they'd type "correcting" and then put the proper spelling of the word, which in this case was someone's last name.

eta: what's with vj changing my font size?

Yeah I know, that's so weird. Typewriters, sheesh. I think it should say "suso, correction, susan" instead of "correcting" because I think it makes more sense to an english ear.

i didn't get it either until i read it yesterday and realized it was typed on a typewriter and either corrections can't be made to it with white out or none was available.

so when one makes a spelling error they'd type "correcting" and then put the proper spelling of the word, which in this case was someone's last name.

It's because it's an official document and you can't white out, otherwise people would do that and modify their BC all the time, at home, or whenever they felt like, so when they're typing it the first time and they make a mistake they have to correct that way - , digo, - got it?
