Because of the long wait between initial I130 application and actual approval - I want to take a trip with my wife to a European country. For this we need to get her a Schengen tourist visa.

Has anyone here applied for a Schengen tourist visa for their beneficiary's Indian passport?

What was the process like? How did you go about satisfying the financial requirements for the visa (this seems to be pretty important)?

Was the Schengen visa awarded to the applicant in the end or were they denied?

I have started to talk with some agents in India about getting such a visa, but haven't decided just yet. They have given me some suggestions, but I would like to hear any advice or cautions or whatever from anyone here as another form of input.

Thanks !
