Really petite feet - shoe shopping advice

Don't know if this should be here or in off topic, but it is related to my new life in the US.

I have particularly tiny feet (UK 13 1/2, EU 32, US 2 - 2 1/2) and obviously it's hard to find shoes. Does anyone know of anywhere other than Cinderella of Boston that I can get petite adult shoes in the US? I know of lots of UK websites but I'm not keen on digging into my UK accounts just for shoes!

Thanks :)

Hi. I have the same problem. Many times I am forced to buy children's shoes. Try zappos.com - they have free shipping both ways so you can try on as many as you want and send back the ones that don't fit back and you can search their site for small sizes. Also, if there is a Nordstrom's in your area or even better a Nordstrom's Rack - they used to have alot but still have some. Perhaps try the web at nordstroms.com, but I am not sure about that. Good luck! And remember, with the right shoes we are capable of anything!

Y&E-Likewise, I have the same problem too....

Lol..Small feet people unite together in their search for shoes here in America!

Seriously....I wear a size US 3-5 (depending on the shoe)....

And yes, throughout my life I have found it hard and still find it hard to find shoes in the USA and in Canada....

Surpringly, I usually find the best shoes in the children's department...And on top of that, the shoes from the children's department last longer, are more durable, and are less expensive than the shoes in the women's department.....

As well, you can try the following for your shoe-shopping needs:

-Payless Shoes http://www.payless.com (I've always found the best bargains and the best selction of shoes from there)

-E-Bay http://www.ebay.com

Hope this helps. Good luck, and happy shoe shopping!

thanks for all of the suggestions. If you're willing to pay the price and use the UK websites the ones that I use are:

www.thelittleshoeshop.com

http://www.pretty-small-shoes.com/acatalog/

and http://small-shoes.co.uk/ (but they'll only ship to the UK)

Best wishes,

I have the opposite problem.. I have big feet :P

I wore a size 10 in Canada but the size 10's here are too small and the size 11's are too big and they don't seem to sell 10 1/2's :P

oh and when I do find shoes that fit they are usually ugly

I can empathize with you on this one. I have the same dilemma. biggrin.gif I'm a size 10 in the States though. Since I'm Asian, it's rare so my friends call me King Kong. no0pb.gif

It's fine. I've found comfort in wearing Birkenstock sandals. biggrin.gif I'm fortunate that there are stores that cater to women with large feet. lol. How is your shoe shopping going? I've never met anyone with a size 2 shoe before. You must be petite. smile.gif

Sorry Marilyn and Toni, I can't help you there, but I'm sure that there's online shops for large shoe sizes as well as small ones :)

Same here with the 10-11 shoe in Canada I have a hard time finding shoes here too, I had ppl tel me to just get men's shoes but its not much help cause then I have the shoes way to wide for my feet.

I don't think I any of my kids wore shoes that small for very long I think by the time they were 3 or 4 they where already past that size. My new family here in Arkansas, most have smaller feet and my kids tend to be amazed on the size of the shoes. They think its so weird lol.

Have you found a store that caters to women with your shoe size? I buy most of my shoes online though there are stores that carry my size. Here's a sample online store. The shoes are quite stylish too. I think they carry sizes from 5-10.

Good idea, any suggestions on websites? Search engines don't come up with Japanese websites. Or stores, my parents have 2 weeks there in Sept for work.

try just googleing japanese shoes, see what comes up. most sites would probably be actual japanese sites.

but if your rents will be there, ask them to pick up TONS of shoes for you while there. you can find shoes in any shopping area no problem!!
