Picking apples pays at least twice what you could make at a California Walmart restocking shelves overnight, or at least three times what you would get working at the mall bussing tables over at the food court.

If real Americans had to pick apples, it would pay 20 times what you'd get working those other jobs.

Only problem is Americans will work for 20 times pay but refuse to buy at 20 times cost. We're the only society in the world that is going to put ourselves out of business.

Milton Freedman is an American economist who used to advise Margaret Thatcher and said GBP can only be spent in the UK and USD can only be spent in the US

He said that when an American pays money overseas, it has to come back as loans to the US, or purchase of US goods and services or investment in the US.

Therefore ‘shipping our money out to pay for foreign oil’ doesn’t work like that – it has to come back.

That is why politicians are keen on trade - it really is a 'trade' that ultimately has to have two sides of goods/services/investments/loans

So when an illegal Mexican ships USD to Mexico, it has to come back into the US economy.

It seems as though real Americans don't want to do back breaking work in the hot sun, no matter how much the pay is.

Bullshit. I've been working in the offshore oilfields as an offshore petroleum facility operator for 26 years (nearly half my life). When it's hot I sweat, when it's cold I freeze my @ss off, when it rains I get wet, etc., etc. I have worked 36 hour shifts on my feet the whole time when it was necessary. I've worked 'till I dropped and then slept under the stars on a tool box. 12 to 16 hor days are standard fare. I can pull wrenches to make repairs to keep production flowing and just as easily crank out reports in the office on the computer to corporate offices in Houston, New Orleans, etc. I'm 54 years old and still do it. Why? 'Cuz the pay and benefits still keep me solidly in the middle class and I have weathered many a recession 'cuz no matter how bad times get Americans still need oil & natural gas. I've worked around Mexican illegal alien construction workers offshore and they are no more supermen than an American. They just work for less money. That is the bottom line.

Generalizations and assumptions based on single observations are not likely the best method for making veritable conclusions.

Generalizations may not be the best way to argue, but how do you counter 20 million opinions?

And one line quips are nothing more than hecklings from the peanut gallery.

I sense a blood pressure increase here. Perhaps reading the actual content of what's stated would help discover no disagreement?

Okay its time for my generalization of the day based on my personal experiences then.

I had a flat tire once and all I had was the manufacturers wrench (which creates very little torque). An illegal alien lent me a proper cross wrench.

Therefore, all illegals are good people and will help you out when you really need it.

Oh I need to be exposed to more of these! I still haven't seen faulty towers either.

I saw two illegal aliens feeding stray cats. You know what that means right?

No cheap Chinese or Mexican restaurants in the neighborhood either.

How do you know he was illegal? Did you check his status? (And if so, the FED is going to stop you from doing that soon) No more flat tires for you.
