1. it would apply to small business also. small business would have the most to lose. Would YOU hire an illegal at the risk of losing your business if caught?

2. Property is routinely seized to pay taxes already. This is why I propose a TAX not a "fine". When it is understood that the penalty will be swift and severe, the practice of hiring illegals will STOP. You have to make it very EASY (don't hire illegals)to comply with the law and very HARD if you don't. When the risk outwieghs the benefit, the practice will STOP. Business law 101.

Fact is that probably fewer than 20% would even VOTE, but Democrats will gladly take 60% of the 20%, or 58%. That is plenty to win elections and take over congress and the white house.

It might work, as long as you don't mind paying $10 for a head of lettuce, or $40 for a jug of cheap wine. It seems as though real Americans don't want to do back breaking work in the hot sun, no matter how much the pay is. And I will give you a clue: Picking apples pays at least twice what you could make at a California Walmart restocking shelves overnight, or at least three times what you would get working at the mall bussing tables over at the food court.

I have to have a root canal and earliest is 8.10am Wednesday - sat here eating aleve and ibuprofen and I don't need no sass from any of my haremees at the mo !

My last job was as business planner for a hotel group. The deal was I would ride my motorbike when it was nice weather, and come to work when it was raining and i felt like it. I would come and go at whatever time I liked and they would believe what hours I filed. I gave that up and retired coz i couldn't be bothered

I guess i am like a non-illegal westerner - just plain decadent. Yes somebody has to work so I would give em a work permit and nothing else.
