Has there been an increase in processing times for Russian petitions since this Russian spy fiasco? It seems like they took rite around 2 months and there hasn't been many being processed in that same time lately.

way to early to tell... but I doubt it.... these individuals were under surveillance by the US government for years...

A few months earlier last year some petitions were taking 5-6 months to get adjudicated with no spies. It's just the waxing and waning of the USCIS. Hold tight, they'll get to you.

What, afraid she will be snowed in for the duration of the winter? LOL

Chances are she should have her interview by the end of December or early in January.

You'll have 6 months for her to use the visa before it expires from issuance, so no worries there. My wife had no problem getting here from Russia this last Jan, She came from Yekaterinburg, which is not really Siberia, Siberia but it still get's pretty damn cold and snowy there. They're pro's when it comes to the snow stuff. Try to relax and just take things as they come, you sound like me last year lol I worried and worried and we ended up having one of the easier journeys, . You have to try and relax w/ the worrying cus you'll blow a gasket worrying about all the different variables of what may or may not go wrong.. I know it's easier said then done, but you're not alone pretty much all of us here had to endure this process. Hang in there!

Yeah, I realize it is going to be a wait. I just was unable to go see her until April this year due to the weather conditions in Surgut and the airports shut down in the east coast of the US due to snow. But you are rite no sense in worrying about something that hasn't happened yet. Thank you.
