More visa pages - needed ASAP

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question so feel free to move it...

I plan on traveling 3 weeks from now to be with my wife at her interview. I am going to need some extra visa pages, anyone know what the turn around time is at the NY passport service center is?

I currently have my passport with the Indian embassy awaiting transit visa, but when I get it back I will not have very many pages left, so I'm going to make an appoint to go to the service center to get extra pages added.

Do you guys think it will be better from me to travel with the pages I have now and when I get to SL have the pages added at the embassy, is this doable? Anyone had done something like this in the past?

Sri Lanka can add visa pages to your passport --> http://srilanka.usembassy.gov/u/adding-extra-pages.html

Most likely they will do it quicker and faster - perhaps the same day. If you show proof of return travel ticket to the US that may also help expedite.

Good luck !

Visa pages addition is now $82 (the price increase as of 7/13). The next time you get a new passport, ask for the 52 page one - it adds nothing to the price of the regular 28 page one and you get more visa pages.
