5. asked me questions liked : am i willing to do my pledge of allegiance, have i participated on terrorist acts, have i been convicted of any crimes, etc.....

6. told me i was approved

7. more casual talk about my work, marriage, life in the usa vs canada, and other light topics...

8. scheduled my oath taking... she initially scheduled me on the 28th..... i requested for an earlier date, if possible...then we settled on the 19th (monday)

9. was back at the waiting room/hall at about 9:20. waited for my appt letter (for oath taking).... kinda long.... i got mine at 10:35.

Congratulations! And lucky you for getting an oath ceremony date so soon! We had our interview in the same office in Chicago on the 30th of March and were told that a letter would be sent in 4-6 weeks with the oath date at a location closer to where we live (Northwest Illinios) We waited and waited and over 3 months later (letter actually arrived last Thursday) we got our oath ceremony date....which happened to be TODAY! So all done as of 2:30pm this afternoon!

So congratualtions once again!

Cindy (also from Canada BTW! :o)

JnJ-Congrats on passing your interview! And thanks for posting about that experience here on VJ! :)

Lol..What a co-incidence too, as for my interview experience the immigration staff and I talked a bit about life in Canada vs the USA too.....I guess there is a lot more to talk about, be it that these countries are so close together...lol...

Good luck with your oath ceremony and hope you get an oath date soon too....And yes, do post about that experience too....
