As you all might have read in my fiancé's old post, I was given a 221g slip (blue form) on July 1, 2010. I hurried back to the Embassy on the soonest day possible which was July 6, 2010 and submitted the lacking document. (Jordan's pay checks) I called the U.S. Embassy last week and I was told that my case was still under Administrative Review. I decided to call again today since I just got home and I was hoping for good news to start my weekend with. I called the U.S Embassy and talked to an agent named Bella. She broke the news to me and said that my visa was approved on July 13, 2010. I should expect my visa in the mail within 7-10 days.

I truly believe that there is a rainbow after the storm. This happens to be the most luminescent rainbow that has entered my life.

To those who got blue slips like I did, please don't lose hope. I know how disappointment that comes with receiving a blue one when you aim for a pink. It's a bitter pill to swallow but it can be remedied by submitting the appropriate documents.

To follow up on your case, call the Embassy at 3012000 and do it at least once a week. This is a local number if you need more information regarding this matter, you can email the Embassy at ConsManilaNIV@state.gov

Thank you so much Tin, Sherryl,Shiela and to the other lovely ladies I've met on this site. Also, heaps of thanks to Tahoma, Happy, Jason, Joy, Rox and baby Tyree! tongue.gif

I ended the call by telling the lady that she just made my day and I incessantly thanked her. I ran to my mom's room, jumped on the bed and gave her a big bear hug! She asked me why I was crying hysterically so I told her that I finally got approved. The tears were brimming in her eyes when she asked me when I intended to leave. I looked at her with a quick retort, "I don't wanna leave yet." We just started laughing and then I called Jordan.

I know that I'm rambling so I'll end it here. Thank you for being part of our journey. I'm on an emotional high so excuse me as I hug everyone in my house.

THANK YOU EVERYONE! good.gifcrying.gifkicking.gif

Yay! Congratulations Toni!

I told ya! That you will get your visa very soon. So happy for you...I can relate to the "jumping-running-crying" part coz I was just like you. Lol. In fact, I was shouting and jumping. Lol!

Again, Congrats!

@CATHYlovesRICK Oh that's good! I hope you get yours soon! 7-10 days for the visa delivery so you're still in the "normal time frame", as Tahoma would put it. good.gif I'm hoping to get mine next week though my flight will be in August. I just want to get the CFO over and done with. I'll bring some photos of Jordan and I just in case they ask for some and parental consent as well since I'm only 23. Malay mo, kuha mo na yung visa bukas. He misses you that much! I bet you're super excited! One big happy family. This is going to be a tearful reunion. Hope you'll get it soon, Cathy!

@Puppy eyes You're welcome! I don't mind lending a helping hand as people here have done the same for me. Lets keep our fingers crossed for a pink one! In case she receives a blue one, you can contact me and I'll be glad to help. Good luck with the upcoming interview! kicking.gif Are her papers ready? No DS 160 for K1 visas. Best wishes!

Toni
