Hi Everyone,

I have the "original" I-134 sent to be by my fiance which i am supposed to take with me for the interview in India.

But while going thru the checklist one more time, i noticed that they say i need a "notarized" I-134.

And notarized only by US Consular officers, DHS officers and US notaries.

Will i have to ask him to send me another notarised original I-134 ?

or the original I-134 that i have with his signature with suffice ?

Please reply.

Thanks,

Mugdha

is this a checklist from VFS ?

You might want to check the EMBASSY WEB SITE !!!

the current version of the I-134 does not require notarization - but hey - check yer embassy web portal for the most updated information !

exactly what checklist are you viewing ?

if electronic, please give the URL.

if paper, check the 'expiration date' on that checklist, and tell us who issued the checklist, and how you got it?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

printed material, sent from the Embassy? OK !

but - I'd still question it - as a 'notarized I-134' is mostly unheard of, in India.

the documents i got with my packet3 and packet4 say that it should be notarized.

Following link also talks about notarizing I-134
