there only seems to be one on the 20th of april but thanks for the heads up!

Weird...when I was on, there were about 8-9 different days available. Too soon for me but thought I would let the rest know :-)

Thanks for the heads up, LuvIllinois! I just booked an interview for July 18th, the next available slot being July 20. I'll keep checking for earlier slots and will post here as well for everyone if I see anything!

I booked mine for July 12. I wonder why only 1 day shows for Norah, but when I logged on later that night to actually book mine, those 9 days were still showing as available??? So odd! Never can figure any of this timeline stuff out.

I was thinking about it after, it is probably is because of the number of people in our family getting visas. So for just one interview it might show more

Good luck to all.

Can't believe it's not even two months yet. I'm so happy to be back home.

Sammy, good luck with the move, it will be worth it. TD bank will do a canadian credit check and american express will work with you if you have an amex card but it takes time. They are still qualifying him as they keep getting his name wrong address wrong etc.

It's not a huge deal at the moment. Just a pain in the #### and paperwork.

For me, I'm in my element.

To all those waiting, it will be worth it, keep the faith and good luck to all.

I'm sorry I'm not here much, my business keeps me hopping.

Happy Easter if I'm not back before and again good luck to all

Hi All,

After half a year of delays (our own inactivity really) we are finally getting ready to submit the petition this week and i'm already anxious!

Anywho, just wondering what the timeline looks like from mailing the I-130 to the consulate to going to the consulate for an interview with your documents? Also, is this when you receive the NOA1? What happens after the NOA1 do you wait for packet 3? It seems like things have really picked up and from when you send your p3 back you can book your interview as soon as it's logged? Is that correct? What does that look like? Are the dates a couple of months out from the P3 receipt? Sorry, I know a whole LOT of questions at one time, it's just that there's so much to prepare for, sale of house, hubby (theUSC) going to the US to get a job and establish domicile, it's so hard to know when to do everything...anyway, i digress. Any and all answers are greatly appreciated.

From our experience it will take at least 8weeks to get back your packet 3, think it was closer to 12weeks for us. Then once we sent in our ds230 it only took a couple weeks to get our pkt4 stuff. then 5 mo. until the interview date, but it might be faster for you depending on the available appt. dates. GL

Hey there,

Yup, seems like the DCF process has definitely sped up quite a bit recently. We applied in person and submitted the I-130 at the Montreal embassy on Dec 2nd, and got packet3 January 18th (6 weeks?). Due to some passport renewal hassles on my part I couldn't send it back super quick, and ended up mailing packet3 stuff back two wednesdays ago, (since I'm in montreal it looks like it got there that very evening) and called DOS the following Monday to see if it had been logged. It had, so I got to schedule my interview online that day. Got the packet4 in the mail only three days later! When I scheduled my interview initially, the earliest date available was July 18th so I chose it, but revisited and refreshed a few times throughout the day and managed to score a June 27th date. I'm going to keep checking and trying for something earlier! Definitely possible to try and get things rolling as quickly as possible, and the wait times for packet 3 and 4 have been super short for me. Hopefully it'll be just as quick or even quicker for you! Good luck and I hope this wall of text has helped~ :)

WOW! That is SUPER fast, that is really good news. There doesn't seem to be a lot of activity on here so it's hard to gauge the time lines. You are lucky that you got to take it right in Montreal, here in Toronto we have to wait for them to give us an appt for an interview to get approval. So is it right that as soon as you ship packet 3 and they log it you can book?! OMG~

We shipped it off today, so fingers crossed it goes smoothly and quickly!
