I had good luck getting all of my photos done at Shoppers Drug Mart. They had a huge folder with the specifications for a number of countries and the price was great ...2 for $9.99. Good luck!

Hi All,

Just wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and best of luck to anyone having an interview (can't remember if any are coming up)

To those waiting like me, I wish my viture of patience were higher and I hope your patience virtue is high. It's hard just waiting.

I just want to go to the US with my DH, start my business, and for us to be healthy.

To everyone here, though, you guys are great, you've really helped me a lot with valuable information.

Hello Everyone,

Well it has been exactly one week since my interview in Montreal and I'm happy to report that I was approved! I've been back in Vancouver since last weekend and I'm waiting on pins and needles for my flippin passport to come back! I don't think I'll be able to relax about this whole process until I've actually crossed the border. I've contacted the consulate and they can't give me any info on when I can expect my documents. I had really been hoping that they would arrive this week, but since it's already Friday, it appears that I have no such luck. Do any of you know roughly how long it has been taking to get the docs returned? I'm guessing that because of the holiday this week, things are taking a little longer than usual. On top of waiting to get into the States, I feel very unsettled not being in posession of my passport!!

I'll write a review in the other section as soon as I can find a few minutes, but overall the experience in Montreal went fine. My advice to everyone is to bring EVERYTHING. Every document, every photo, everything. I was asked for all of it, and because I'm really #######, I had it all - but much of the stuff my lawyer had actually told me I didn't need to bring as he thought the consulate would already have it. He was dead wrong, and if I had showed up there with only the info he told me I needed to bring, I surely would have been denied and the whole process would have to be started again. So bring everything, even if you think you won't need it, or if someone tells you you won't need it, or if you think the consulate already has it. Bring it anyway, and bring copies of it! Better safe than sorry!!

I'll update again once I get my passport and documents back and I've actually crossed the border!

Cheers,

Heather

ok im in panic mode right now. I have NO joint sponsor and no us income for the past two years. My 2009 taxes say I only made 2700.00 bucks my 2010 will say around 11529.00. However my canadian husband and I will be continuing to work for the same company (first student- a school bus company) doing the same job only in MO as opposed to Alberta. It is considered a transfer. With this will we be allowed to count both mine and my husbands future income at the new location since it is technically still the same company? If yes what will I need? I already have letters from the location we work at now saying we are employed there and how much we make and that we will be transfering to MO location when approved. Do we need the official job offers from the new location? Also I have an additional job offer that will be well over the poverty line however I havent started bc I obviously live in Canada still:) Will that job offer help? Im totally freaking out right now and I cant believe that my joint sponsor backed out three days before we leave for the immigration interview! Please help yall.
