Good luck tauruslady and kimberly - keep us posted!!

aimal, this is how i interpreted it, but i hope others can give their feedback too. your household is who is living with you now - you, your spouse, your kids. if you are the usc, you have to fill out the i-864 no matter what. then your mom fills it out as a joint sponsor and your uncle does as well. i don't think either of them need to fill out the i-864a.

we are doing something similar - i filled out the i-864 and so did my dad, but he's not part of my household now, so he didn't do an i-864a.

someone please correct me if i am wrong!

aimal, also wanted to ask what you've thought about using for showing domicile?

we'll be living with our family to start off too - are you filling out an official lease with them or just a letter from them or what?

The address was incomplete,,then I suggest please email a catching Subject..something in Capital letters with URGENT! PLS RESEND PACKET 4 YOUR MAIL DID NOT REACH US...Then you explain what you learned from DOS bla bla bla and it is important that you communicated this to them...to note in your file or else No Record..No Evidence...

Good Luck tomorrow Tauruslady!! All the best to you!

Hey choles thank u for the reply but as far as I understand from the I864 instructions is that my mom files 864A & my uncle files 864 just like me.....yes I'm the usc & I have already moved to us and for domicile, I have my driver license, power bill, cable bill-showing that i started home phone, Internet & tv & I have statements from 2 different banks which I deposited money in when I moved back ;-) but I will be flying back to Montreal for the interview, but dont know if they will let me go in with my husband :-(

Hello, my interview went well except they were not satisfied with my financial docs.

I was given letter to complete and I was required to submit a co-sonsors I-1864 and 2009 taxes.

Once submitted, I should mail to them my passport and in 2 months they will mail back the VISA

That's all I can say and Im going back to Toronto Empty handed but with Hope...

Until my next Update!! :(

Oh no!! So sorry to hear that! I wish all the best for you =/

Would it be okay to elaborate on the issues they had?

I think I'm in the same boat as you in that they're probably gonna take issue with my financials as well.

ok yall Im a tiny bit confused now. I will be living with my dad and little brother. However I will be paying rent (my dads a single dad and cant afford to take us on without help). I filled out the I864, and my dads gf also filled out the I864 (she lives on her own) as a cosponsor. She has more than enough income to do the poverty line for my husband and herself. Do we need to fill out anything with my dad and brother as household members when they wont be contributing? Im sooo confused.

We have a lease between us and my dad, a letter from our work saying we are both transferring to the location in Missouri to continue work, and all copies of the old taxes.....anyhing else yall can suggest? We dont own anything or have any money in savings other than the value of our truck (which is about 5k).

if she lives with ur dad, she is cosponsor & fills out 864A but if she doesn't live with him she is the joint sponsor and shud fill out 864..... but it's good to to have a cosponsor, so if ur dads gf is not the cosponsor as I explained above, add ur dad alway good :-)

You should be fine using your dad's gf as joint sponsor (is she the only one in her household?). You unfortunately cannot use the value of your car, they will only use value of a secondary car, not primary.

Well good news and bad news then, eh? They seem to be more on top of things these days, so it shouldn't take too long to get to your paperwork.

Its kind of complicated....she technically doesnt live with my dad but shes always there....she doesnt help him out with bills or anything though bc she has her own house (where hre 24 year old daughter also lives). She doesnt claim the daughter as a dependent though. She did fill out the plain 864 as joint and I filled one out as primary. I am hoping the letter from our job saying we are both transferring to the location in Missouri will help some too.

Im sorry things didnt go as smoothly as planed tauruslady. As birdnerd said hopefully things will scoot right along once you get the paperwork back to them.. You said they asked you for a letter? What kind of letter did they want if you dont mind my askin?

Hi birdnerd,

Can you say what types of financial documents they asked you for?
