Ok, called DHL my brach that I'm supposed to go to deliver the documents.

They said, they have no idea what I'm talking about that they don't have an account # for the US Consulate in Montreal.

Wonderful. I don't mind paying, but what does that mean.

The phone# above not working.

No checklist. I used the copy of what I found here and I'm sending that in with a note saying I didn't receive a checklist and I'm sending back the one that came in the mail that is not a checklist that you sign just explaining documents needed.

I'm sending back everything I can with the DS230. I think it's not well organized. Anyone else having issues?

ok called the 514 400# above.

They are for booking only and to pay.

Not a clue what is happening here.

I'm going to go with whatever I think is right at this point. I'm sending them the DS230, the checklist I got off this site with a note on it saying I didn't get one in the mail. I'll sign it and have my husband sign it.

Medical it says to wait till they tell us to go when we book the appointment. I wrote that on the checklist.

I am sending back the entire letter they sent me. It has the case # etc on it and they can see what they sent me. I'll make a copy first.

I will pay for the DHL courrier no biggie. I will send that form in too and they can see that I had no waybill # and that I paid. No probs.

I have no clue.

OK I dont know who to talk to about whats going on so Ill ask for advice from yall. I got my packet three today (finally)! Ive been wanting it sooo bad. And then I realized I wasnt sure if I wanted to go home. All of a sudden the idea of going home terrifies me. A little back story; I am the oldest of 8 kids, and my parents expect me to be around for EVERYTHING, but being 1700miles away has let me learn that I can be independent of my family and stll be ok. I guess Im afriad of getting sucked into the taking care of my siblings #######. I love my family sooo much but its been nice to be able to see them on my terms. (None of them will ever come to Canada to see me, bc according to them Im the one who left to be with my husband so Im the one who should always visit). Please help me. Any advice on how to get my mind back on track for going home would be greatly appreciated.

Please excuse my question, but I just checked this page after long time and was overwhelmed by all the new updates, and I'm noticing something about a new system where you book your appointment online.

I sent back our packet 3 (DS-230 + checklist) on July 12. With this new system am I still supposed to wait for a letter in the mail or do I now just log onto that site and book an appointment?

AM/Can, Hi, only you can decide what is right for you. May I first ask you a question. Did you get a checklist in your packet 3???

Can you move back to the USA and be apart. Do you have to go to your hometown?? Why do you feel you have to take care of anyone?? I mean this may sound harsh but you can refuse to take care of anyone, there is no law (well except the paper you will sign to be responsible for your spouse forever even through a divorce unless he leaves the USA or becomes a citizen )but who says you have to deal with your siblings.??? Your family is suriving without you know, you can refuse.

In the end only you can decide what you want to do.

I will put this question to you. Maybe it will help you decide.

How badly do you want to go home and what ever you want that is back there.

Keep your eye on YOUR prize and it all depends on how badly you want YOUR prize.

Good luck, and congrats on getting your pakt 3.

You must still wait for your P4 with the letter that will instruct you on how to book your appt. If you do not wait then you may show up for your interview before they are ready for you and they won't have any of your paperwork ready.

Congrats everyone, nice to see all this paperwork coming in. (Although it would've been really nice to have my paperwork come in 6 months ago). :P

Any questions, ask them here!

I have yet to receive a consistent answer to the question about what income amount to put on our I-864 form for our interview. Would my husband put his Canadian earned income for the section on household income? Or should we put $0.00 as that is his US income...

I just don't want to fill out the form wrong and run into trouble at the interview.... :bonk:

Hey kimberlyk,

We are filling out his income according to what he made in Canada, but whatever it was in USD. His total income on his IRS transcripts shows '0', but his actual gross salary and whatnot are represented, just on a different line. So I'm putting the salary amount, with an asterisk denoting it was made in Canada. I figure it's showing an upward trend in terms of earnings, so why should it not count?

I don't think there is a really definitive answer as to what to fill in there.

Hi, I just received my pkt4 last week. My wife is a US citizen and we have three kids (ages 8, 4 and 2). On the first page of the packet it says "each family member planning to immigrate must appear on the appointment date, subject to the exceptions noted in the personal appearance instructions at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_1335.html. To request a waiver of the personal appearance of a child under the age of 14, please contact http://canada.usvisa-info.com. I have been looking but can not find out any additional information about this. I would love to not have to bring the 3 kids from Vancouer to Montreal. Does anyone know any additional information about this?
