Hi everyone.

sorry I've been MIA. I have no news mostly because I was away, I had my mail held so who knows. I'm so despondent. I do mean despondent

sorry to complain. If hubby had his papers I'd have antoher chance at least but no papers

My life is in the toilet. I'm despondent.

I was away with DH, I was trying to buy my business. It was supposedly a done deal. I spent money to get there for their training, what they call home office training, required by all new franchisees. We paid for the hotel, food, lawyers, accountants, I gave a deposit on my apartment that we were supposed to live in, that was my address I was going to sign the lease. I worked non stop 12 hours a day for monts on this.

And the nut job who is the president of the franchise decides "you aren't getting the franchise" enroute to where it is after the traiinng. He didn't like us.

He is a nut job. Now 5 people are without jobs in the US as the current franchisee is bankrupt an I was buying his franchise, paying off his franchise fees, and keeping on the employees. They are owed back salaries, my purchase was taking care of that. I had to let the apartment go. I have to find another address, another business. The president lost 60k in franchise fees that he probably will never recover.

I hope everyone here is doing good and that at least some people got some good news.

Now I need to go get an address.

I have a question, can it be closer to the border. Now we want to live on the other side of the border so that DH can commute and keep his current job, is that possible??

That's awful, housewife. :(

I've been feeling pretty despondent myself lately. I keep apologizing to my friends and family for bringing everyone down.

Don't really know what to tell you in terms of border commuting, sorry.

Good news is a few DCFers got interview dates for end of September, unfortunately I wasn't one of them. :P

Hi birdned.

Yes. It was horrible. I understand how you feel. I am at the end of my rope. I am ready to end it all. I don't even value my life anymore.

It's not about the commute I know that is possible, I was just wondering if they accept an address in the US that is about 20 min from the boarder. It's the USA just 20 min from Canadian boarder. I hope so as I'm going to rent an apartment there tomorrow so I have an address. Even they are hard to come by from the tiny town there. Nothing there, but it's better than nothing right now.

I need to go back to the USA. I was there for 3 weeks and I'm so homesick it's not funny. I got sick over what happened and landed in the ER in Boston and no wait, it was fantastic, made me realize even more how fast I need to get back.

Birdned, maybe it will come soon. I hope so for you. I truely hope so. they aren't giving much time on the interview date from when you get it so I just hope they take that US address as acceptable. The commute is really not an issue. I know americans who married canadians and were doctors and did the commute as they practiced in the town (great hospital) and drove back and forth daily so it's not the commute it's the address I am committed to an 18 month lease that I have to pay for

And you can complain to me anytime. You listen to me, and I appologize to you and everyone. Thanks to all for listening to me.

You are not bringing me down, anytime you need a friend or anyone here does I'm here to listen and help if I can.

thank u birdnerd, 1 more question... my baby iz born after I sent DS 230, so in the section 4 children, I only have my first daughters name since the second was born after, so how do I add her now? Will she be added automaticaly if already reportedher birth @ the Mtl consulate?

Unfortunately, I don't know much about the children aspect.

Do you mean you've filed a CRBA (consular report of birth abroad) for her? That should be all you need. You will need to adjust your household size in your I-864 documents (+1). Other than that, you can probably make changes to your DS-230 during your interview.

My USC hubby did that too he moved to usa in march to prove domicile thing.

Got a place ( still maintaining lease till now), car insurance, car registration, bank, job, done all what's needed and thought that we can get our interviews sooner but in great dismal.....he can't stand being apart anymore so he moved back here in Canada with us again..

With this delay in scheduling looks as if we are again starting the whole 9 yards from 1-130 to packet 3...isn't it?

no packet as of today,. I applied July 13th. Is that normal??

May I please ask what does packet look like??

Unfortunately, yes. Someone earlier in the thread said it had taken them 8 weeks to get P3 from Montreal, and I think that was before summer holidays.

P3 for me was just a 3 or 4 page letter saying the I-130 is approved, instructions regarding filling out and returning the DS-230, the document checklist, and a page explaining the requirements for each civil document needed (i.e. birth cert, etc.)

Hang in there. :)

Yeah but this Thursday will be nine weeks since I filed in Calgary and still havent got my P3 (4-6 weeks according to them my butt. Their calander must count weeks differently than we do). Seriously getting sick of this waiting for nothing....If they didnt say anything Id be fine but since they told me 4-6 weeks I feel like they freaking lied....no shocker there I guess. Frustrations galore.
