Did you do a change of address/mail forward thing at the post office? I hope your notice isnt just out in postal limbo:)!

Yep, I have forwarding set up (had to do another 3 months after the first 3 expired in July). Even in touch with the girl who moved into our house, she's keeping an eye out just in case. I wish I knew if I was in postal limbo, but as I mentioned, DoS is still claiming there's no date set. :(

You may want to try emailing too. I never did received my DS 230 forms, etc in the mail, even though they were sent to me on March 29th; it was a good thing that I sent an email at the end of April or I would have never known... it makes me wonder if it ever was mailed. I hope that the same thing doesn't happen for my interview or I won't have a chance. I have also had no luck when trying to find out if they have the proper address on file.

This wait for an interview is ridiculous!!! I'm ranting sorry, we filed in Sept. last year and were complete ( long a slow time June 4th ) and still no interview date. Running out of patience!:crying::crying::ranting::ranting::protest::protest::diablo:

Well there's mucchhhhh to say about the w...a....i...t...i...n....g time and no exact words can express anymore!

My last communication to them was July 1st wk informing them that we have moved and where the mails should go if they communicate with us and of course I also inquired about when will be our interview schedule...

Since July 1st wk till now, nobody from the embassy ever replied to me.

I also set up a forwarding paid for another 6 months in case they sent it from the old address.

I put some catchy words like URGENT! in the subject line but I think nobody in the embassy pays attention to that anymore :crying:

The anxiety and mental torture in our daily lives is unfair!!

I actually received a response from Montreal indicating they have processed my address change I sent last week (guess they hadn't seen the request I sent in April). I didn't bother asking about interview date though, but still crossing fingers something might arrive by mail soon. :innocent:

Hey yall. I have a quick question. When I filed my I-130 in Calgary they gave me an information sheet saying that I would get my P3 in 4-6 weeks. This Thursday will be 8 weeks. I emailed on Friday last week (but yall know how that is). Do yall think I should be concerned? Thanks for your responses.

I wouldn't be too concerned about it. That's the nice thing about submitting the I-130 in person - they double check to make sure you've submitted all the proper documents. There shouldn't be a problem with Montreal accepting it. It' probably just taking a bit longer due to the backlog in Montreal... (Understatement...)

Ours took almost the full 8 weeks too. Maybe if you don't hear anything in the next couple of weeks you could try calling them.

I was under the impression that Montreal has no phone and you cant call them. I was under the impression that email is the only way to contact Montreal.

Hi Birdnerd,

You mean, you sent the address change in April and they only processed it last week.

I dont want to resend them this again if they might have missed it ( hope not)

Do you think every email we sent to them with the same info could just delay things?

I advised by some Forum Threads, seeking your congressman's help would in the process.

We already employed the help of a congressman in the State where my spouse lives but I've seen no effect, nothing's happened.

Right, sorry. You are correct. I was thinking of the DoS. There is a phone number around this site for them somewhere... Can't remember where. But I think you have to have a case number first. Sorry; guess you are stuck playing the dreaded waiting game. :bonk:

I sent the original address change email the last week of April, never heard anything. Sent one again last week, received reply Monday. Maybe they replied because I specifically asked for them to advise when the address change has been processed. I verified with DoS today that they now have the correct address on file.

No interview date, though.

Unfortunately, tauruslady, I think you might be waiting a while. I think I might've seen something on the forums here saying you're probably at the back of the line for interviews - in that they will schedule the people who are waiting for their first date, then get back to your case.

DoS number is 202-663-1225, press 1, then 0, then give your case number.
