I held my nerve and backed the Brits.

It was an industrial accident and probably Halliburton (####### cheney) and TransOcean (95% of it's employees are in Houston) or Cameron (US makers of the shut off valve) who share much if not all the blame and therefore the eventual liability.

This isn't an English, Saudi or American issue. It's simple greed for profits and the doing (or not doing) anything for it that prevails in the corporate world. BP has promised much more inclusion of compensation than Exxon did for their mess in Alaska. Yes, BP screwed up and they did it in a grand scale. I fear the gulf will suffer for generations because of this. I hope I'm proven wrong. But this isn't about England or the English.

I have no problem with anyone making this money. Some will even venture to stay in when the stock plummet from the environmental suits, civil suits and federal cases start baring down and then all will be lost.

BTW that goes for any of the companies envolved.
