Engineering consulting. I am semi retired, which means, basically, I can make plenty in 20-25 hours per week to just do I want the rest of time. Today is hot, so I will take the boys to Huntington Gorge for swimming and cliff jumping. I make my own schedule also and never start before 10am. Oh #######, Rob & Mel, that means "scientific stuff", you know, that stuff you said I don't like.

Poverty sucks, try to avoid it.

Your an engineer so that means scientific stuff? If that is what your interpretation of what science and enginnering is, then I'm calling BS.

Yes, I'm doing my best. I can't imagine what it must be like to be old and only have a salary of 55K. I'd probably kill myself since that's what we were paid straight out of college over a decade ago.

But old age happens, so I save what I can now.

I could suggest overseas consulting work. BIG salary, 40% overseas bonus, living expenses paid. Tax free (most of it, or ALL of it if you set it up right) You can seriously slam down 10 years US income in 2-3 years. Come back, buy your house and cars (cash) and invest the rest. Retire at 48. I was completely retired for 2 years and only went back to work part time for one of my previous clients. I no longer travel except for fun, make my own hours and limit it to 20-25 per week. I take a day off when it is sunny and I would rather be somewhere else.

I thought when you don't care you sleep naked next to Alla?

I still very much doubt the veracity of your story.

I don't care. I sleep naked next to Alla.

Hello All:

I would appreciate our help please. We have our K-1 interview in 2 weeks. I am putting together the I-134.

Until late last year I was self employed and my income for last year (2007) qualifies for our family size (3 including me, fiancee and one son coming with her, one son will remain in Ukraine until next spring when he completes college), barely, but it does, at $26,650. Since September 2007 I am employed with a corporation and have employment letter verifying income now of $55,000+ and check stubs from this year verifying this.

I am buying my home on a lease/puchase and cannot give a deed or anything in my name at this time, I do not have bonds, stocks, etc. My life insurance is term insurance and has no cash value. Of course I have personal property which I can quantify as well as anyone. I also have health and dental insurance to cover my family (though they don't ask for that)

They also ask for savings amounts which is not much to speak of. I can show bank statements with deposits for the last year which exceed the minimum qualifications by a good amount. Is it necessary?

What do I need? Is the income enough in itself? I always get confused of this because the form asks to complete ALL items. Do I just put "none". What happens? Is it just a matter of the income qualifications? If so, no problem. Anyone with experience with the Kiev embassy that will pass it along is appreciated. By the way, I am going to the interview and will bring this information with me to give to my fiancee.

Also, I have been told (by other good members here) our family size is 3, even though she has two children but one will not be coming until next year, but the I-134 asks for "All children accompanying or following". Do I list both children? Both are listed on the DS-156. If I list both are we then a family of 4? (I would STILL qualify with last years income, but even by a closer amount) Should I list both children on this I-134? Sorry so many questions, but I would appreciate the help.

Thanks in advance

Gary

And thank you Cardinal Puff for proving my theory!

OH NO! Rob and Mel called BS! Now I am poor and penniless and my wife is an old, ugly feminist and speaks English as her primary language! Woe is me.

Bye...got to go swimming in the middle of the afternoon...hope your employer's computer allows you to read this.

So you believe this theory shooter? You think that Iran is sending agents to Venezuela to learn how to be "hispanic" in order to infultrate our country without arousing suspicions of their ulterior motives?

What conspiracy theory does The Shooter not believe in? I have yet to hear of one, no matter how far fetched, irrational or plain stupid that he doesn't believe 100% in, he is *dramatic pause* The Lone Voice of Reason!!! in a sea of gullible librul sheepies. No wonder he has to stock his fort with guns and ammo!

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
