Hi klr650!

We got our NOA2 on June 15th of this year.

On June 22nd we got a letter from the NVC saying that our case would be forwarded to Kathmandu in a few days.

On July 1st we got an email from the embassy with information about Packet 3 (the paperwork that your fiancee will have to prepare and bring to the Embassy before they can schedule her interview). She will be asked to visit the embassy in person to pick up the packet.

Your interview date of course depends on how fast you are able to get Packet 3 completed and back to the embassy, but they say that interviews will be scheduled approximately 1 week after Packet 3 is received.

You might want to bring originals of the evidence you've already provided, plus any additional evidence that would make your case look stronger. For Packet 3, you will also be asked to provide a copy of your last year's tax returns and W2s. Everything else in Packet 3 (forms to fill out, police reports, medical report, etc.) will need to be prepared by your fiancee.

Hope this answers your questions. Nice to see another US - Nepal couple on a similar timeline. Would love to know how you two met! :)
