Ok, so my wife is flying in from the Philippines on PAL and will come into Los Angeles International. I'll be flying into LAX the same day to meet her there at the airport. The problem is that I don't really know that airport and she won't either. Does anybody who's been through LAX have suggestions for how we should be able to find each other there? I think we are going crazy here with all the planning loose ends now, but at least we are almost together again. Thanks for any responses.

Never been there myself, but these might help if you haven't already looked at them:

Ok first of all is your wife bringing a cellphone with her ? if she is then I suggest you send her a T-Mobile or At&t prepaid SIM card loaded with $20 or airtime that she can Pop into her phone once she arrives at the LAX.

She will be arriving at the BRADLEY building bottom level and if you will be arriving first you can head straight there and wait for her to come out, remember, its at the bottom level, you can ask around, ask a skycap they can tell you where it is but I would really suggest you go to Walmart or Walgreens and buy yourself a prepaid phone for $20 or $30, make sure its T-Mobile or At&t, activate it with $10 or $25 worth of airtime, take out the sim card and mail it to her. That way she can call you as soon as her plane arrives at the LAX.

Lax terminals are arranged in a big U and the international one is the bottom of the U , Immigrants are processed there and will walk through a lower level and up an incline when they are free. You gather at the top level of this area. If the crowd isn't too bad you can be along the top level looking down at the walk way which is on the right side.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

my hubby arrived with me last Feb at LAX. Since I was a US cit, i

had to fall in line to the one closest to the elevators, rightmost

and then those who are first time immigrants will be falling in line

at the farthest. Our plane landed around 7pm and i was out of immigration

around 7:30 while him was still waiting for his turn. there were around

30 people in that line with two immigration officers helpin them. he was

called and they took his sealed paperwork he got from manila embassy and

then they asked for passport, had some questions and was told to wait

back in line. He then waited another 2 hours. by 10pm, they called him

again, stamped the passport, gave him a letter and was told to go get

baggage and free to go. i was already waiting for him with all the

baggage. we then went in line to have our baggage inspected and immigration

officers asked our things for xray again and then finally around 1030pm

we went out the airport and the one who picked us up waited around 3

hours.

LAX was my POE and the officers there were pretty nice. As for me, I think wait for her in the arrival area after she gets out of her biometrics with the border officer. Basing from my memory, after her biometrics, she has walk to the left side of all the baggage area, and walk further then turn another left that would led her to the arrival area where you can wait for her.

I hope it helps.

You will know the flight and time of her arrival, just go to the Tom Bradly terminal for incoming flights. It will take her about 45 minutes to get through customs/immigration. You won't miss her if she stays in that terminal, make sure she has cell phone or change for pay phone. I know when my wife arrived we were both very worried but don,t worry it will be fine and you will have a wonderful life together
