Just got the approval notice sent to my email some few minutes ago. I am sure this is the beginning of the next battle. It is probably my fault not to have paid attention to the proceedings that have flooded VJ site about the next step. I hope everyone will bear with me because the waiting game for one beclouded my judgment in looking forward.

So I would appreciate if anyone would be kind enough to enlighten me about the documentations and proceedings for next step.

I have all the paper work like

1. 4 years tax transcript from IRS (2006/2007/2008/2009).

2. 4 months pay stub from my work.

3. Pingo phone log from February, 2010 when I signed up

4. About 2 Western union receipts.

5. Letter from my job stating: position, annual salary, duration at job, nature of employment (full time0 etc

6. Full photo album of all my 4 visits. 2 times in 2009 and April/march 2010 after I sent in 1-129F.

(This is about 500 pictures in total)

7. The almighty NOA2 hard copy ( Waiting for it)

Now quick question:

1.Will it be necessary to get a letter from my fiancée father who is a pastor and the spiritual leader of his congregation attesting to the knowledge and approval of this union and that the spiritual leader did a two days counseling session for us about the important of this union in the sight of God.

2. Will it also be necessary to get a letter from her catholic church where we have gone to register for the marriage but insisted that we attend a 6-weeks marriage class before performing the ceremony? I couldn't because of my Job here in the states.

Finally could anyone with information about Lagos, Nigeria embassy provide some useful information on how to go about the whole process like scheduling interview etc.

My sincere thanks to all VJ members for the various contributions during this bumpy journey.

Lagos will send your fiance and email with the interview date you dont schedule it they do...also your fiance needs to go for the police check and meds there is a link that you can print the medical exam form from and he/she can take that with her to do the meds because they normally want you to bring in the sheet with the appt letter on it but they will also do it if you bring in those printed forms he/she will also need two passport photos to accompany he/she to the medical.

You can call NVC in one week 603.334.0700 to see if they have your case and if it has been sent to the embassy. They will also give you your new case number

Looks like you have all the documents needed I dont think you need all those years of tax transcripts but the more the better in Lagos

Also prayer works for the Lagos embassy as well :) Good LUCK!!!!!

Thanks alot for the information. I missed one document in my list. That is the bank letter stating balance and other neccessary information.

You are absolutely right because I see you are some few steps ahead of me. I was told you have to email the embassy to let them know you have downloaded all necessary forms and ready for the interview. Then the embassy will schedule your interview.

Again thanks and goodluck in your visa journey..
