Hi All July filers!

Since I filed in August, I expect my interview letter in the next couple of weeks or so. I would like to know a few things from the people preparing for their interviews!

Me and my wife have been married for just 2 and a half months now. She is still a student, and since I don't have an EAD I don't work. We live at her parent's home. All the utility bills are on her dad's name, and I don't have any insurance. We have photographs from last 8 years and emails from that period too. How should I prepare for my interview? Thank you all!

Hi All July filers!

hi, our interview would be on the 24th of this month. I'm Preparing bank statement, cable bills, insurance for both life and health and our pictures, maybe 150 photos. If you don't have any utility bills a bank account, life insurance of your spouse with you as the beneficiary and affidavit fro friends and family that you two are together :) Goodluck on your journey

Sounds like a good experience :) I hope we'll be fine, I'm a little concerned because we don't have a ton of pics (I'm kind of camera shy) and my husband's income is VA disability benefits, so he doesn't have tax returns.

Even though I had brought IRS transcripts of my wife (USC), they didn't ask to see them. I think if you submitted the affidavit of support thing, and they haven't RFE'ed you by now, you should be ok in that area (still doesn't hurt to bring what you got though). I don't think they are looking for a lot of pictures, but instead enough pictures to establish the length of the relationship. Just bring what you got :). Seriously you will be fine :)

Yes, I think you're right.

If they didn't like the income info we provided (documents from the VA outlining his benefits and a copy of a bank statement showing several months electronic deposits from the US Dept. of the Treasury and a letter explaining that his disability is considered complete(unemployable),permanent and service related)they would have RFEd us by now.

I do have some nice pictures going back 4 years, just not a ton.

hi, where is your local office? it really depends on the volume of applicants per local offices. from what I'm browsing thru other Vjer's some of them had a max of 2 to 3 months from the time of NOA1 before getting an interview appointment. You can also make an infopass at your local office if it exceeds the maximum wait time. Hopefully you'll get your interview letter soon :) Goodluck on your journey. :)
