Hi All,

Well today I have completed everything and I have sent it two day air via UPS. OMG am I excited. I know it’s been mailed out but hey, why not. It’s nice to be feeling good once in a while ...

Now that I have sent this out can someone point me in a right direction of to where to go to check the status of the application?

I have read somewhere before that you can go one US immigration website and check it there but I am not sure of how where to look. Will I be able to monitor my case once I get NOA1 in the mail that will have a case number listed or what?

Thanks.

Go here:

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis

links for status updates/check status are on the left under 'customer tools'

You can sign up for everything once you have your case number.

Best of luck!

As soon as you receive your NOA 1 (I-797C) there will be a receipt number in the top left box of the form. Once you have the receipt number, you can go to www.uscis.gov and sign up to receive case status updates from there, and have a log in to check your account status.

Between my NOA1 and NOA2 I only had 1 "touch" and no notifications until I received the approval notice via email and mail so don't be too discouraged if you dont receive any email updates while you're waiting (there was even an option on the USCIS case status updates area to receive notifications via text, LOL)although I never received any text messages after I enrolled (apparently it is a new feature still being tested).

Be patient and good luck!!
