VERMONT SERVICE CENTER TRANSFERS THOUSANDS OF CASES

Due to high workload surges, the Vermont Service Center (VSC) recently transferred 5,000 Petitions for Nonimmigrant Workers (Form I-129) to the Texas Service Center (TSC) and 22,000 Petitions for Alien Relatives (Form I-130) to the California Service Center (CSC).

If you receive a notice from the TSC or CSC regarding a case initially filed with the VSC, you should direct any questions regarding your case to the service center that issued the last notice.

Sorry for those of you at TSC or CSC!! as for us in VSC I hope they are done the transfer and can start approving some people now!!

06/30/06- sent I-129F petition to VSC.

07/11/06- NOA1 (received in mail)

07/19/06- RFE received in mail, IMBRA

07/28/06- e-mail, IMBRA RFE received at VSC

09/11/06- called VSC, told I'm with an adjudicating officer

09/25/06- called VSC, told to file expedited service, outside 60 days of RFE received date

09/26/06- sent expedited service request to VSC via fax and snail mail

09/26/06- Senators and Congressman making inquiries into my petition

09/29/06- expedited service request approved by VSC director

10/04/06- e-mail NOA2 approved!!!!!!

10/05/06- NVC received

10/06/06- NVC forwarded to Poland Embassy

10/16/06- Packet #3 received

10/17/06- Packet #3 sent to US Embassy Warsaw

10/30/06- Packet #4 received

10/30/06- Interview scheduled for November 22nd!!!

11/30/06- Visa in hand, via DHL!!!!

12/05/06- Ania and I arrive together in the USA

02/11/07- Ania applied for Social Security Card

02/17/07- Ania and I were MARRIED!!!!!!

07/24/07- Social Security Card in hand- after some minor issues and a little procrastination :)

10/14/07- I-485, I-765, and permission to travel mailed to USCIS

10/17/07- Received NOA1

12/17/07- I-485 shipped to California Service Center for faster service

12/17/07- I-765 approved new card should be mailed within 30 days, Advanced parole approved

02/28/08- AOS APPROVED!!!! PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD RECEIVED!!!!! (card received couple weeks after approval)

Well, that is great news! NOT!

All I can say is they take a back seat to our petitions. Take a look at the dates for I-130 relatives, years behind.

And as far as I am concerned, Spouses & Fiances take priority over anyone else.

Yeah! I guess it's not the adjudication of those types of visa's thats the problem. Just the move itself that slows things. Of course this is all assumption and you know what that's good for. Making an as* out of you and me!

06/30/06- sent I-129F petition to VSC.

I'm confused. Isn't the VSC the fast center and California behind? :wacko:

I'm in FL and the way I understand it my petition will go to Texas only to be transferred to California. :blink:

Married on 11/21/06 in her hometown city Tumauini located in the Isabela province (Republic of the Philippines)

12/14/06 - Received by Chicago Service Center

12/18/06 - NOA1 notice date from Missouri (NBC)

01/06/07 - Transfered to California Service Center

01/11/07 - Arrived at California Service Center

1/12, 1/16, 1/17, 2/6 - Touches

02/06/07 - NOA2 from California Service Center

02/11/07 - Received NOA2 in mail

02/15/07 - Arrived at the NVC - MNL case # assigned

02/20/07 - Sent to US Embassy in Manila

02/26/07 - Received at Embassy

03/30/07 - Packet 4 received

05/09/07 - Medical scheduled (did early)

05/23/07 - Visa Delivered

05/25/07 - POE in Newark, NJ

Actually it's not so crazy.. the USCIS is moving away from having the service centers process petitions based on residence to a system where different service centers process different workflows. CSC will be processing family-type immigration petitions which is why all I-130's and I-129F's are going there.

From what I've read, CSC and VSC will take care of I-129fs and I-130's. I may be wrong, though. I can't remember the source of the information. I'll try and find it.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

From what I've read, CSC and VSC will take care of I-129fs and I-130's. I may be wrong, though. I can't remember the source of the information. I'll try and find it.

Oh, I-129F is different from I-129? Oops. I thought they were saying that all VSC fiance(e) visas were gonna be transferred to CSC.

Lately CSC has been approving petitions at a faster rate. I wonder if this is an effort to get caught up particularly due to the extra cases transfered there in August. :yes:

03/07/06 -- Met On-line

06/14/06 -- Spent 5 Weeks Together in Lapu-Lapu Philippines

08/03/06 -- I-129F NOA1

02/22/07 -- K-1 Visa Approval

03/02/07 -- POE St. Paul/Minnesota
