Hi, our K-1 file was sent to Ankara in late May, Just got word from the embassy that our appointment is

set for Late DECEMBER 2010, that is 5 1/2 months away. #@@%%#$@ UNBELIEVABLE....This is beyond awful!!

Is there any chance that they would reschedule to an earlier date? Has anyone had their appointement rescheduled to an earlier date??

This is so darn depressing....

I'm in the same boat- I received my interview date this week. It's for December 27th. It's really incredible... I'm going to e-mail the consulate and ask for an earlier date. It can't hurt anything, right?

11/29/2010 Sent AOS package
12/10/2010 NOA1
01/07/2011 AOS transfer to CSC
01/11/2011 Biometrics
2/08/2011 AOS approved
2/22/2011 Green card in hand!

It can't hurt I am sure, I guess if we do it politely and not email them every other day...They haven't responded to my email yet.. I also called

NVC, they said they can't do anything either.. :(

I've e-mailed the embassy a few times and they always reply to my e-mails quite quickly. Hopefully you'll get a response soon! Let me know how it goes, I'm going to be drafting my e-mail tonight.

They responded today; It is our busy summmer season, we have limited resources therefore an earler appointment is not possible.

I feel your pain! I was very disappointed to see our date when it was scheduled back in June. 27 Sept. It's so hard to wait...You would think that during their busiest times, they would have the other Embassies pick up some of the slack. Everything goes through Ankara. They even process Iranian applicants. So, we wait and wait and wait. Are you aware of the 'Interview Schedule' on thier website? There you can enter your Case Number and see your date. I had kept checking after our date was assigned for about two weeks and I finally wrote to them to confirm, saying we are not on the schedule, and to make sure we were not over-looked. About a business day later, we appeared on the schedule. Better safe than sorry.

Take care!
