another july filer here,i was looking at the trend and volume chart on the USCIS website and from what they habe posted there and what i could figure, July wont start moving till next month.

In July they received 2014 new I 129f cases but had a backlog of 5660 for a total of roughly 7600. in the previous month they completed roughly 4000 petitions and in july they completed 3000. If you look at the trend for the previous year they seem to slack off in july and increase in august ,Aug of 09 they completed 4800 and another 5000 in september.

If the same holds true for this year that backlog of 5660 should be knocked out in august which would be the may and june filers and july shoudl start moving in september and be finished in october.

mind you i am bored and just took a quick look at the numbers without creating my own spreadsheet and playing with the numbers so this should prolly only hold true for the average case.

but hey what do i know im sitting her on my couch drinking eating breakfast at 2pm wishing i could take a look at augusts actual numbers :(

I didn't do the indepth analysis that you did; but just using the average processing times, I expect July NOA2's to start flowing freely at the end of September or early October.

It's annoying to have to just sit and wait but looking at the numbers gives me hope.

Heres a wee story to lighten the mood..

Like everyone on here rach and I were getting mega impatient a few weeks back as we'd filed early July. We decided it would be best for rach to come over so she promptly asked for time off from her dancing job at busch gardens and we booked the flight. After checking visa journey and USCIS every day/minute/second. I woke up at just after midnight and had a look at facebook.. BAM! there it was on Rachels header "Babe We've been accepted.. wooohooo" I felt so happy, started planning everything in my head not to mention updating my visa journey status (glad I didnt.. read on) SO the next day there are about 20 facebook messages congratulating us on our visa acceptance and people asking when the wedding is etc.. Rachel then phones and confesses very sheepishly that a friend of hers (she didnt notice herself) knew her side of the story and felt the message may have been interpreted differently.. RAchel explained that the message "babe we've been accepted..wooohooo" actually meant her holiday request at busch gardens had been granted and had absolutely nothing to do with the visa!!!! AAAAAAAARgh!!

Just as well I love her and believe me.. when she comes to scotland there will be a practical joke for payback..!!

Dear everyone.

Patience is a virtue that I don't have especially when my better half is millions of miles away! It just feels like I have not seen her in centuries.

Anyhow, I hope anyone here that are good with numbers could actually use the official numbers published on USCIS. It would be really great if any engineers, accountants, math majors or anyone good with numbers could actually work around these numbers by providing the July filers an estimate - by using the scientific method.

I mean it would great if we could at least receive a probable and scientific assessment. So please anyone with a good background in numbers, look for the July stats and provide us with your interpretation!

Thanks!

Hoping for the best!

yup.. this is really getting to me now too.. I havent seen Rachel since June 2.. She's here Nov 3 for a couple of weeks and it was supposed to be a wee holiday just to break up the wait.. I totally had it in my head Id be over there by december but Its just not happenning!!

WHat annoys me is when in florida last time we met a nice couple who were UK and US.. They just decided they needed to be together so he flew over and stayed. Theyve had no problems and are dealing with his visa while over there. They advised us to do the same as supposedly you can get away with it.. but no, we thought we'd rather do it the right way so we don't have to look over our shoulders and this is what happens!! Its the little things frustrating me now like I cant plan anything here as I don't know when ill be away! Stupid things like I saw a nice jacket the other day and wanted to buy it then thought "but will I be here long enough to use it as I won't need one in tampa". Its driving me nuts. The most important thing to me is Ive got a beautiful fiancee over there who I love more than anything. She's a fragile little thing, weighs only 102 pounds and I just want to look after and protect her.. USCIS.. HURRY UP!!

ok, deep breath, im done now!! anyone got a happy story?;0)

Haven't seen any July filers post any updates. Which according to VJ I-129F's Percent completed by month graph off Igor's List for VSC, 90%+ of June filers are in, and 15% of July's are done. I take this as I can expect the NOA2 anytime now. Does anyone see this different from me?

I haven't seen my "heart&soul" since June 1st. I must admit, I was very naive about how long this process would take. I hope at least one person gets a NOA2 next week, even if it isn't me, I would feel better about this process to see some progress for us July filers.

Graph I am talking about if you haven't seen it:
