It's been 5 months and 17 days since i received my NOA 1 and i am still waiting like everyone else which is really freaking frustrating . I tried calling USCIS and all their options are for if there is a mistake or change of address, is there an option/number that will help me talk to customer service directly where i can at least know whats going on this sucks big time. Im probably going to get the same reply like the rest of the folks but i guess its just worth the try. I have not been touched once since the October 3rd mass touch, plus in my application i had written down the wrong consulate ( India has like 3 consulates , each consulate deals with cases from certain states) so i typed a letter and mailed it to them indicating the error and the consulate i would like to change it to but i have not received an acknowledgment (letter or touch) from them (that was back in october) indicating they had rectified the error. I am so frustrated with this waiting game....what do i do

I called the 800.375.5283. I pushed 1 for English and then 2 for status and then 6 for lost my receipt number.(I read somewhere that this got you to a person quicker.) It worked I was talking to a person in less than 3 minutes.

I called last week and talked to a second level. I was told that they were behind and to call back in three weeks. Today I called back and the said they were 18 days behind. Not sure how useful that info is but it is what it is.

Hmmmm. When I called yesterday, they told me they're currently working on July 24th receipt date and I have another 52 days! Interesting. Wonder what 18 days behind means.

I called AGAIN today - they are not behind, apparently........

I and few thousnad must be confused.

They are working on July 24th (same answer as last week).

And to call back in 5 days - my case will adjuicated by then.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I told the phone clerk that I had heard this

twice before except in 2 weeks the case date

has moved from July 23rd to 24th...............

Did you get his name? When you call back in 5 days, ask for him in particular and ask him what the decision on the adjudication is. Do not ask if it was adjudicated; instead ask what the decision was. If he tells you there is no adjudication, remind him of today's conversation.

If you get someone else, ask them the same thing and then tell them "I don't understand, Mr. **** said it would be done today".

Oh well, hopefully they'll get finished with TPS quickly and get back to the I-129Fs. All this waiting is awful, by the time me and my fiance are married we will have not seen each other in over a year. But at least we don't have much longer to go! (I hope.) I'm sorry guys.. i can't believe they\re not done with July yet.. I'm just glad that our agony o waiting for NOA2' over.. and that it didn't reach 6 months to get it.. I hope you guys will get yours soon.. Good Luck.. keep calling or email your service center.. maybe ask help from you congressman or senator.. There might be something going on that's causing the delay.. Hang in there! It will come!!!!

I called them today and the lady said that i am still within normal processing timeframe and that i should call up in 11 days and only then can she issue me a service request number, it will be exactly 6 months on feb 3rd well i guess its now a 6 month compulsory wait rather than the 5 month like they mentioned all this time arghhh so frustrating......
