I am really hoping your dreams of interplanetary travel come true soon.

But we can eliminate his fears by amending the constitution to eliminate "anchor babies" the way most countries do. we could also enforce our laws to make sure employers do not profit from exploiting illegal immigrants...you would agree to that, right? I mean it is really STUPID to pass laws to protect working people...minimum wage, workplace safety, sexual harrassment, discrimnation, family and medical leave, social security and medicare...and then allow employers to avoid all that by hiring illegals and simply ignoring the laws to increase profits. I mean what is the point of complaining that WalMart uderpays people and doesn;t give benefits, but then look the other way when employers of illegals do much worse?

Sounds to me like YOU are the one that is racist and scared of Brown people having the same benefits as YOU. Sounds like YOU want to keep them in underpaid jobs, no benefits, no work safety, no social security. YOU want them exploited. YOU want them abused. All those benefits are for white people...right? The brown people get none? What a racist pig. PLUS you are butting in line and jumping ahead of people who are waiting years to immigrate legally in order to get a visa for YOUR family member. What a kneejerk response. Stop protending like you (and the anti-Immigrants ilk) care about brown people. The whole reason you want minimum wage rights, etc, are due to your fear of brown people. You care about creating an envirnoment that doesn't allow immigration to America. You are taking the route of minimum wage, and workers' rights only to appear politically correct. These people need to grow some balls and come out and say they hate immigrants, immigration, etc. That America is a white Protestant country that doesn't allow or shouldn't allow the others.

The underlying reasoning is hate, xenophobia. Which is ironical because most illegal immigrants are being exploited for cheap labor by Republicans. A parallel can be drawn to rabidly homophobic conservatives who finally get caught with their pants down with gay consorts. Haha! You exploit them in secretly but in public you yelp about their rights.

It's cute when Conservatives talk about rights. Because it's just that, laughable joke. Nearly every human rights, civil rights organisation are centrist or to the left of center. I hope to be proven wrong by being shown multiple Conservative rights group working for the illegal immigrants, human rights, workers, etc.

You want the interplanetary travel to become reality so that you can deport me to another planet. While you cannot do that just yet, you'll find solace in deporting immigrants to Mexico. Do Americans really know anything about the world? I am being serious here. I think 30% of Americans now have passports, versus about 60 to 80 elsewhere.

As pike pointed out a while back regarding the local news, international stories are basically non-existent, yet are an integral part of the news back in AUS or abroad.

I can only imagine what the news is about in LA. Reporting live from studio 1 Sandy, Paris like had a bad hair day today. The hills was like such a great episode; back to you Patrick..
