I have a really good cinnamon bun recipe I can give you when I get home.

As for halving sugar in a bread recipe...NEVER DO IT! The sugar is there to feed the yeast :)

I know that headbonk.gif but it was way too much sugar. 2/3 cup, if I remember rightly. Yeast proofed properly, bread turned out great!

And yes, please, on the c. bun recipe!

I miss German bread... I cannot make it myself, you need a sourdough culture and it seems so hard... rye, dark breads, yum...

There are bakeries in bigger cities but not out here. I stick with labrea breads and wholefoods. I don't like to have bread with more than 5 ingredients.

Ohmygosh, bread!! I (L) bread. :luv:

My favourite bread recipe is a parmesan and romano cheese crescia. It is FABULOUS toasted the next day for breakfast or snack. *drool*

I really love (and miss) malt bread. That's fabulous toasted for breakfast or snack too. Same goes for proper German rye. (I'm beginning to see a theme here. lol)

My new favourite restaurant where we just moved to is an Italian place with real Italian bread and real Italian servers. lol. I told the waiter how much I loved their bread and he agreed it was hard to get nice bread in the US..... and then he brought me out a whole loaf to take home with me!!! :o I fell in love with him immediately. :luv:

Did I mention I love bread?
