I hope your husband will solve this problem asap. maybe by the time everything cleared up NVC waiting time wont be long for you. be positive! we go through tough times and this isn't the toughest, right? good luck!!

Even my case, got completed on 8/18/2010 but because NVC schedule interview for following month on the 2nd week of the month, I couldn't make it on September interview lists. I have to wait until 2nd week of Sep to get my interview date.

Thanks! There are tougher things out there and more suffering. I am just dreading the wait time. I need to believe that this will be resolved sooner than later.

Mrs. Thomas

I'm the petitioner. He had to disclose it on the DS 230, question #41 I believe. We were just trying to be as honest as possible. His charge was dismissed. he will go to the courts on Monday to get the court record indicating that the charge was dismissed. He will send it directly to the NVC on Monday so they will get it by Wednesday afternoon. My concern now is that I may have to wait four more weeks for this case to complete. That I can't deal with. I don't even know how i will enjoy my vacation thinking about this.

Oh i see... well i dont think it would take 4 more weeks... trust me... i think ur file review is all complete and all they need is that court record, and i think when they get it within a week u'l get long awaited SIF. and for me.. i dont know whats going on, i dont speak to operators because they are like very dry and unhappy and just wanna hang up. so i just listen to recording. so i dont know if they have RFE for me already... but i think the AVR should be able to say IF there is RFE generated right.?

i Guess now u and I should get SIF closer to each other. * Only if i dont get RFE*.

Emily,

All embassy's have a web site so you could call them or email them for starters. Also if you speak to a helpful NVC person they might be able to give you some insight into the situation. One thing is for sure it will take what ever time it takes so I would advise not dwell on it to much . things here change all the time so what you think you know today is obsolete tomorrow. I know the AVR said 6-8 weeks and that's for NVC complete. That is when they ship your packages off to the Embassies I think.

Most people Know? I am not sure about that Emily. I think we just think everyone knows more than we do. They all seem so confident and knowing... All I know is that its taking 6-8 weeks to get NVC complete and then the papers shipped to the Embassy in Manila. Then if I am lucky 2 more weeks for interview letter. I will just have to wait and see what happens. I am hoping it will be sooner.

Got the water leak fixed not to go after the AC. I don't know how people lived in this climate of high Humidity without AC!!! I guess when you don't have it you manage some how... THE WAITING GAME CONTINUES... I'm just happy to be able to shower again, do laundry and wash dishes... B-)

Hey Emily, its actually the NVC who schedules the interview and they send the email with the appointment letter. My case was completed on 08/09/10 and no interview was scheduled for September. The US Consulate in Nicaragua isn't busy either, so what I did was I emailed the IV unit at the embassy and asked them if I had made the interviews for Sep, in 2 business days they answered stating that they had already received all the September cases from the NVC and mine was not there, they also made emphasis on the fact that only the NVC can schedule the interview.

It was a big bummer that I didn't make September, I still don't understand why since the Consulate here hasn't been busy and there aren't too many applications taking place.

Good luck!

Funny that NVC makes the appointment but the Embassy makes the final visa approval decision. I would Call the NVC and ask them I would also tell the the embassy is not busy and you have spoken to them but they said its the NVC who is responsible.

But that's just me. :bonk::bonk::hehe:

Hey there TomD! How ya been? I hear you were with no A/C, I hope everything's in order now.

We did call them twice, and got nothing out of it. They kept saying every Embassy is different and they can't do much, just wait until they send us the letter, etc. etc. You know how helpful they can be, huh?!

To all those who ask thanks for asking. I got my water on yesterday and was happy to take a cold shower... OM does that feel good. I though I was back in Iraq... My AC is still out because I have not call to get it fixed. I want to wait and see what the county says. Because I ask them to come out to my property and look at my situation. They came to day and the guy told me I should move !!! Haha I ask him if the county would buy the house. :bonk: Then he laughed at me... Its not easy being TOM...

I guess that was just "Another day in Tom's Life", sounds good for a show huh?

I'm glad you have your water back, I know what it is to be without it and it SUCKS big time.
