No SIFs today? Certainly none for me. I don't even think I'll check tomorrow. No miracle for me.

Thats it ... NVC stopped again...where are those days when they completed the case in 7 to 10 days after getting documents. not too long ago.

in 13 days its gonna be exactly ONE damn year since i filed I 130. and still in a waiting limbo. Hopefully when i am done with this.. i'l always remember what kinda BS we had to go thru.

I haven't received anything yet (no interview date assigned) but I understand its the NVC who sends the instructions which is called Packet 4

I confirmed with NVC, they do not send anything in mail anymore. All you get is an email with interview letter. You should be getting date assigned by the end of this week, if not you are in the next batch - Sept first week. Good Luck Nica.

The operator at NVC told me today that she feels they will have the September interview list to them by the end of the week ( a few more days). She told me to check back.

I'm not getting my hopes up for September, but do want a set date to look forward to.

Lisa, you still have until the end of this week. In my country they go up to the third week. Find out if you get 1.5 month time frame, if yes you can get an appointment at the end of third week.

@juju, you are due in sept 2nd week. given your docs has been rcvd by 7/26 - Need 7 week 1 day.

@all: FYI, NVC will only generate IV bill, if they have generated the case completion date. They can not approve case within 7-10 biz day anymore due to new congressional initiative. Congress has asked them to approve previous cases that are stuck in NVC and are at the priority dates due to congress voting in US. If you look at the bulletin, more Family based petitions are being approved.

Guys I just realize, NVC made a mistake on an interview letter. My wife's passport shows First Name: xx yyy, while XX being first name and YY being last name. Surname field is blank. NVC put FNU for First Name, and Given Name and Last name all together making FNU. What can we do prior to our interview to correct this issue, i do not have any troubles or problem such as AP or anything. Anyone has this issue?

I am in a similar situation. I noticed his address zip/pin code is off by one digit..the last digit is listed as 4 when it should be 7. Since they don't mail anything, I don't think its an issue..I noticed on the second set of paperwork we sent in, it was typed in as 4 by mistake which is where they must have gotten the address from. Am hoping this won't be any issue when they compare his passport to their documentation.

I wouldnt worry about the name mixed up. They will use the passport name regardless to issue the VISA. And your wife can show where they made their mistake if the guard or anyone else even asks. Just keep Marching on...:dance::thumbs:

I think cases are taking at least 36-37 days now...Ours did and so did others that just completed at NVC. September will be a year since we filed too but most was our fault not being prepared and waiting for international mail and mail getting lost and my SO not getting the mail to me as soon as I asked for it.....but all these steps we never waited for NVC to mail us anything because it took way longer than printing it off ourselves. ....Your time will come and then you wait some more for an interview date.....It's been another week since closed tomorrow and no interview date. Some have waited a week longer than us....we have to be patient.

Thats it ... NVC stopped again...where are those days when they completed the case in 7 to 10 days after getting documents. not too long ago.
