CONGRATS!!!!!! I'm jealous,a little :):)

I don`t want to check my SIF anymore :(

Ariel, based on the AVR date you supplied, your case will complete this week by friday i guess. My docs were in by 16th of June. July Cases will be out next month.

edit: yes my case is going via ND since my wife is from Punjab. I am hoping i get interview date for next month. If nothing comes for the next month before sept, then i am flying to India on Sept 17th. Wish me Luck. Me and my wife after marriage stayed together for 15 days.. it blows!!!

I understand your pain and frustration... I miss my husband very much and i hate being a single parent right now.

My husband missed out on our daughter learning to crawl, clapping her hands, her first word and now she is about to take her first steps...I was hoping to make it over there for her first birthday, but that seems realy unlikely...

We are all hurting, but we made it this far already...the road ahead is nothing compared to the road we travelled.

@smsgrl: i am just confused, based on what other says the interviews dates are assigned by the 15th of the month for most of embassies. So far nothing... and NWD is slow on updating the dates... I really have my fingers crossed for sept interview... AVR states wait 8 weeks.. if thats true 8 week is there, then my wife will be assigned a date in Oct.. which stinks... i mean comon...

Also, is it possible if she can pick up the passport after visa granted..

@all members: can someone please advise what is it that my wife needs to take with her to embassy for interview?

I have told her to take the following..

- Original and Copy Marriage Certificate - we sent certified

- Original and Copy Birth Certificate - we sent certified

- Passport and Copy

- Interview Letter

- 4 Passport size pics w/o earrings - front facing

- Tax Transcripts were sent in.. - I will give her my W2 and Transcripts again..

- My Passport Copies

- Copy of her Police Clearance Certificate and Passport Office Clearance

- Our Wedding Pics and places we went to together - 10x wedding and 5x random

- Copy of Phone Bills (Vonage, Reliance and Airtel)

- Copy of Few E-Mails

- Valentines Card and Other Gift I sent (mailing proof)

--- If i missed anything please let me know. Thanks

Jimmy, that list looks good. But do you have evidence of co-mingling of finances too? Maybe a joint account?

I heard they like evidence like that.

My husband sent a request for epedite today, and I bet it will take forever to even look at it...

Alles wird gut und wenn es noch nicht gut ist, ist es noch nicht vorbei.

Jimmy, my case was at NVC 03-25-2010 : Return Completed I-864(AOS)

05-17-2010 : Return Completed DS-230 (Mail lost in Morocco cause weeks of delay!)

05-17-2010 : AOS has been "APPROVED"

06-30- 2010: NVC Received Judicial record (Casier Judiciaire) -Checkletter response (missing document)

07-07-2010: Missing document (Casier Judiciaire loaded into the AVR)

Jimmy I noticed my case was at NVC before yours and it's a CR-1 as well and both you and I had missing document that loaded into the AVR the VERY SAME day, and given what you are saying that you had a June case...Mine would really be a "May" case compared to yours (Just country of Morocco which should not matter)....and the operator at NVC told me it would ONLY take 3 days to complete this processing once it is matched up to my file, but how is it not matched up to your file if it is scanned into the AVR from out of the mailroom,lol....anyway, your DS-230 was mailed in AFTER ours were already approved and processed (operator confirmed our approval in the sysytem) ...my point is looks like they are not going by any particular order or ours should have been completed before yours. I was thinking since they closed the 6/23 6/24 checkletter responses on Friday ours would be in two weeks....but you had a date of 7/7 as well as our case....hhmmm, but our time will be soon and before you question...all NIL's on both police report that was processed with Ds-230 on 05-24 (AVR) and also on this Casier Judiciaire (Judicial record-required for Morocco) all NIL- not any arrest or police records, etc.

Congrats on your SIF!!

I sent all original documents so I only have copies ...but I am having him bring copies of each packet I sent along with

- the boarding passes from my 4 visits to India

- copy of phone bills and calling cards showing how frequently we talk

- copy of skype and yahoo conversations

- signed affidavits stating our relationship is love based

- extra photos from each visit (in addition to the wedding pics I sent in I-130)

- When I did my AOS I had not filed my 2009 taxes but sent in my W2 showing my earnings from 2009 so I will have him bring the 2009 Tax form as well (just in case)

- Also having him bring extra passport size photos and cash..lol

- Of course the medical information

I sent only the Regional Passport Police certificate as they told him thats all he would need. He doesn't even know where he would find a Local Police Report and we didn't get an RFE on this..Hope we are ok?

I agree this part is a bit confusing. From what I am gathering, if you get case complete in the first part of the month, your interview is scheduled for the next month but if your case gets complete at the end of the month, you are scheduled for the month following that..and the timelines support that as well so I am expecting us to interview in September!

Generally interviews are scheduled during the second week of the month. While interviews are scheduled during the other weeks of the month as well--we received our appointment letter the last week of the month--those are usually for dates for the following month, not the next. For example, we received notice end of March for an interview in mid-May. Remember, some consulates do this. Not all.

@smsgrl: i suggest you should send your hubby to go to local Police Station and get a Letter for Clearance. It can be requested by consulate at the local embassy to check if there is any report in local station. Otherwise you might have a condition... Good thing you didnt get RFE and got overseen. I wouldnt take a chance. It think it only cost approx. Rs. 300. Easily obtained. I am sending her my Credit Card w/ where i have added her name as a authorize user.

Secondly, I personally feel, i do not need to give NVC my skype or yahoo chat log.. this is against privacy act. Call Record - Phones calls outgoing and incoming should be more than enough. I always verify and send all documents to avoid delays.

@Lisa: your RFE entered in July, therefore will fall in next batch since this was your last doc needed approval. I talked to a nice lady who gave me all information. She stated that if you have submitted your AOS first and is under review, while that isnt approved and you sumbit IV docs, when AOS gets approved your IV will also be approved - to avoid further delays and backlogs, while if your AOS is approved, then you are in queue for 6-8 week to do addition. My AOS was in System on 6/16/10, while IV was submitted on 7/17. My Case Approved after 7 weeks of submitting AOS.

Good Luck to All who are waiting for SIF/CC and please wish me luck for my Interview setup.

Jimmy...They (NVC) have had our AOS since March 25th....Approved BEFORE May 17th cause when I called on May 17th, it showed in system already processed and approved.......now our DS-230 was approved and processed by June 3rd..... We did'nt include the Judicial record only police reports is where we went wrong. Judicial record was recorded in AVR recieved on July 7th....I was under the impression if you had to send something further in like we both did the 6-8 weeks will follow the AVR date of both our 7/7 but you already got your SIF. So what you are saying, is it is POSSIBLE we could get SIF this week or the following week? When you say next batch are you saying maybe THIS WEEK??? I hope so cause this NVC and International mail has forced us a long time to wait. I haven't seen him for this year's vacation and my job is a hard company with attendence since it is manufacturing aircraft windows and being I am raising my kids alone financially, my husband and I were holding off on another trip since we both felt he would be here soon and I would need these days to use on helping him get established and license/ soc. sec. and all taken care of. Plus we could use this trip money for a second vehichle to allow him to work. The longer we wait, I am afraid the consulate interviewer may frown and question this but it seems logical reasoning for us. I made a trip there for past two years but not this year. We kept thinking since march at NVC he would have interview soon, but it keeps getting prolonged and it is FRUSTRATING!!!!!!! Thanks for any advice.
