Greetings All,

This wait and process so far has been gruesome process and we find information these boards and sites this extremely helpful.

My fiance had her interview in the Paris, US consulate on June 29th and she got approved. The consulate told her to wait 7-10 days and will send the Visa via Chronopost.

I know today is Bastille day but it has been 10 days since approval and we have received nothing. Does anyone have any experience with longer waiting period for visa to be sent?

We had purcahased her NYC ticket for August 5th.

Thank you in advance,

Regards,

L&J

Please call the consulate and ask them what is going on.

If they said 7-10 days then they should have kept their word.

There is a lot of time to go till August 5th so don't worry too much.

yes...we just had the same experience there. if you cannot reach them by phone, go directly there on friday morning. the embassy is open for general public questions 9-11:30 without an appointment. make sure to get a business card with direct phone #! my fiancee arrived at 8:00am and he talked to someone at 8:30. when you speak to someone, tell them you are leaving aug. 5th and can you please pick up the visa at the embassy. you must call to get an appointment to return and pick it up. we just had this big mess and my fiancee finally got his paperwork yesterday - his flight is tomorrow! good luck
