I am sponsoring my wife and I make $97,000 a year. Should I still show my assets my W-2's for the last three years would do. Please let me know.

Also, Does my wife have to sign the form before I mail it. The household promise form....

When you earn more than the minumum of the Poverty Guidelines, you do not need to include any assets.

I don't believe the beneficiary signs the I-864, only the Sponsor.

Up to you on the assets issue, you appear to be in good shape based on income alone (although there could be a problem area that you've neglected to mention). I used income only and did not suppy any asset information.

I'm not sure how many dependants you have, but if you are 125% above the poverty line then you do not need to show assets.

According to the instructions on the I864 you do need W2's.....

For ALL sponsors:

A copy of your individual Federal income tax return, including W-2s for the most recent tax year, or a statementand/or evidence describing why you were not required to file. Also include a copy of each and every Form 1099,Schedule, and any other evidence of reported income. You may submit this information for the most recent three taxyears , pay stub(s) from the most recent six months, and/or a letter from your employer if you believe any of theseitems will help you qualify.

As for your question about "the household promise form" I believe you are referring to form I-864A. That is a contract between the sponsor and any household member that is going to be responsible for support of those immigrating.

Hey Reddy,

As others have said, if you're above the 125% threshold for the number of people in your household (see the table that came with the form), you don't have to list assets and your wife isn't supposed to sign it. There's no room for the beneficiary to sign the form anyway.

You don't need to show your assets, since your income is good enough. Only the petitioner signs the I-864.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
