Once you send in your packet 3 they put you in line for an interview date. Don't be fooled into thinking you'll get one soon! So send that packet 3 as soon as you can!

12/31/2009 - Marriage

07/21/2010 - AOS approved

08/04/2010 - Green Card received (and it's actually green!)

05/30/2012 - Sent ROC packet to VSC

06/08/2012 - Received NOA1 for ROC (Dated 06/04/2012)

Peachy is right, don't expect a date soon. In fact, you can expect to wait 50-70 days before DOS gives you an interview date, and that date could end up being 4 to 8 weeks from the time you find out.

Look at other people's timeline, it'll help you see what you can expect.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. I kind of figured that, but thought I'd ask. At least Montreal seems to be picking up the pace a bit.

Looks like it is picking up. The timelines similar to mine (NOA2 from June) have interview dates in August...... if I can get an interview date by the end of August I'll probably sh*t my pants because it means we can have the wedding we want in Sept. I'm just trying to find the right number to call Montreal and confirm if they have received our package from NVC... should be there!

See profile for our K-1 Visa/AOS story from 2010-2011Apparently we love USCIS/NVC so much we left and are doing it again! This time giving IR-1 a whirl. Rock on immigrators.

07/09/2014 sent in IR-1 packet to Chicago Lockbox

07/16/2014 NOA1

07/17/2014 check cashed by USCIS

10/01/2014 found out we are expecting baby #2 June 2015!

12/15/2014 NOA2

12/30/2014 Case received by NVC

03/23/2015 Received Case and Inv # from NVC after many calls and bogus excuses.

03/24/2015 AOS payment accepted by NVC

04/09/2015 IV payment finally accepted by NVC after the set the wrong fee and took weeks to correct it.

*many more delays thanks to the agency processing my fingers prints to the RCMP and the post office losing our mail*

05/20/2015 Packet sent to NVC via UPS, eta May 28.

06/16/2015 Baby #2 due - homebirth in Scottsdale, AZ

Montreal does not accept phone inquiries... I know you probably heard this a million times, but try to stay patient with Montreal... Your P3s will come, it just takes them a while to get to their mail!

Last time they gave out interview dates, they literally skipped a month, and people like me had to wait a good 60 days after our P3 were logged in to get a date from DOS! And I know A LOT of CR-1 are still waiting on interview dates, and from like March-April! Crazy!!!

Hopefully you guys will hear something by the end of July for September or something. But don't worry if you don't, it means it will be in August for interviews in October... That's what happened to our bunch. And now, time is flying by for us and we don't think back about being so mad at waiting for Montreal all this time!

Good luck with everything, and stay patient  !

Ya I found the link and sent an email inquiry. I am confused if so many people with CR-1 applications are waiting for interviews, why do some K-1 applicants w/ NOA2's in June have early Aug interviews? It's kind of mandatory for us to have an interview by the end of August because my fiance will be on block leave (military) and once that's up they get sent out of state for training without notice. Even his bosses were saying we need to get married on block leave because it's too risky afterwards. So we will send an email from his military account and explain we can have the big boss fwd an email as well confirming that. Hopefully it'll work or I have no idea what'll happen! The military doesn't cancel field training because someone has other plans :S

I sincerely doubt it... but honestly I have no idea what'll happen if we don't get one. I guess I would just have to move on my own and settle in and when he gets back find a courthouse and marry. I dobut he'd be long gone for 90days... unless I could go where he is and do it. But that's just getting ridiculous haha. I find it insulting how quickly K1's can move through Vancouver. I would fly to Vancouver for an interview if it meant saving 3-5 months of problems and not being able to have a wedding. *sigh*.... we'll see how it goes I guess. My friend had hers expedited for an interview and her fiance wasn't even being deployed, she just said shes worried he might. However that wasn't in Canada... so it's very different and everything takes less than a month to do... well two if she hadn't gotten the expedited interview.

My mom's neighbour put in her visa app (her husband is US military) the same time as me (first of February). She's just had her interview and approved through Montreal. I haven't gotten my interview date yet (submitted P3 June 23rd); so I'm assuming that Montreal *will* expedite in that case.
