dont forget to bring some money in case they charge you for overweight baggage fees. some airlines can charge you $50 or more for each bag. check the PAL web site for their overweight baggage fees.

i hope the travel tax is already included in the price of your ticket. maybe the travel tax is itemized on your ticket already.

if you pay the 750 peso terminal fee in dollars, the change they give you will be in pesos. thats what happened to me. i used dollars to buy food at the airport in japan and the change they gave me was japanese yen.

Hi Cath,exempted na anak mo for travel tax kc US citizen/dual citizen.Ikaw lng magbabayad ng travel tax and its Php 1,620.00 kung di pa ksma sa ticket mo.Since PAL sakyan nyo..hndi kayo sa NAIA pupunta,dun kayo sa isang airport..sa Centennial..dun kc departure ng PAL.

Yung tax exempted certificate na 200 pesos lng babayaran,para yan pag may greencard ka na tpos uuwi ka pinas for vacation then pagbalik mo dito sa US ang singilin sayo ay 200pesos na lng basta pakita mo greebcard.

Laging exempted ang US citizen/Dual Citizen sa travel tax basta ipakita yung US passports,pero sa terminal fee walang exempted dyan,US citizen at Philippine citizen ay magbabayad nyan its Php 750.00 each kung di pa nag-increase.

Sa airport ka lang dyan sa atin may babayaran yung travel tax at terminal fee,pagdating mo sa San Francisco wala ka na babayaran.Need mo na lang ay extra money just in case may bilihin ka sa store inside the airport.

The only way to find out if you are going to pay for the travel tax or not is to call the PAL office. Sometimes, it's already included in the airline ticket.

Terminal fee is Php750. Have a safe flight

This is correct you will always have to pay the terminal fee, but depending on where you book your ticket the Travel tax may have been added to your ticket cost already

show mo na lang yung US passport ng daughter mo. but don't forget...even though you're the only one to pay travel tax, all three of you will have to pay for the terminal fee of P750 each (you'll be able to pay in $ as well kung wala kang dala Peso).

one advice ko syo since you're travelling with a young child, wag ka mag-japorm ng suot. meaning, tone down on your accessories and wear a pair of shoes that you just slip on. k'se you're gonna go through 3 security checks/xray checks. right when you walk in through the door, going to the boarding area and the last before being let in the area where you're boarding gate is. diyahe pag marami ka alahas na suot and you sneakers na you have to keep taking on and off and tie shoe laces...LOL.

make sure magdala ka ng extrang pera nyo. kse baka mamaya magutom kayo ng anak mo or mauhaw kayo. at least meron ka pambili ng pagkain/tubig sa boarding area. and like i said...bring cash kse they don't take credit/debit cards. nakaka-inggit naman kayo. malapit na kayo magkasama as a family. kme ni bossing 14 years na mag-kahiwalay. but im hoping sana by next summer sinusundo ko na rin sila sa SFO. sa bay area ba kayo titira? if so...hindi ka mangungulila kse madami pinoy sa bay area.

tsaka pala bawal magpasok ng tubig sa boarding area ng gate ng flight mo. if i remember correctly, nung pabalik kme dito in May, meron mag-asawa ng kasama toddler nila...pati yung tubig pang-gatas ng anak nila hindi pinatawad...kaka-awa yung bata kse gutom siguro kaya iyak ng iyak. so make sure meron ka crackers for your anak just in case maguton sya. pero ang problema when she gets thirsty and you have to buy her something to drink. pag lumabas ka ng boarding area nyo after going through security check...you'll have to do the whole process again going back in. kaya ang ginagawa ko lagi...i just wait until probably 30 minutes (depending on how many people are still in line to go through security) before boarding before going through the boarding gate security.

My 2 cents. I went there last month and for expending...not including hotel, around $300 dollars daily. That is about 13,000php. I think you can do it for less..depends on what you like to do.
