The last time my fiance flew with PAL is already 15 months ago, so he is wondering what are the fees that i have to pay in the airport when we are about to leave the Philippines.I wanna hear from all those who specifically flew with PAL.How much Php do i need to bring?? plus our(me and my daughter) POE is in San Francisco,are there any fees that i have to pay there? Coz my fiance said he never paid any fees in SF airport. But I wanna be sure since he is a US citizen and I'm just flying with a K1 Visa. I just hope that we will be put in the US citizen lane since my Daughter is already a US Citizen This is the most terrifying and exciting travel I will ever do in my life.. Hope everything will go smoothly, coz I will be with a super hyper active toddler that never wants to be held so much and just want to run around and play

Hope anyone can give me an idea of the fees that have to be paid..We already saw a flying date to book, its a bit pricey but i guess will be worth it since its a direct flight. I will never want any stop over since I will be with my daughter..

the terminal fee in NAIA is still the same (Php 750). Of course, bring extra $$$ specially since you're bringing a child, she might be hungry once you get to the airport (Manila and SFO). You won't pay anything in SFO.

How much is the Philippine Travel Tax?

For adult passengers, the travel tax is PHP1,620 (Business and Economy class) and PHP810 for children (2-11 years).

No. Philippine Travel Tax is not included in the total fare quoted online. For international journeys, Philippine travel tax, if applicable, shall be collected by the Philippine Tourism Authority at Philippine Airports.

Travel tax shall be levied on (a) all citizens of the Philippines; (b) permanent resident aliens; and © non-immigrant aliens who have stayed in the Philippines for more than one (1) year, who are leaving the country.

If you are exempted from paying the Philippine Travel Tax or entitled to a reduced travel tax, please secure applicable certificates such as follows, from Philippine Tourism Authority (PTA), Department of Tourism (DOT) before making reservations:

My wife had about 2500 Php when she got to the airport (although you will have to adjust it for the travel tax and terminal fees) and she had $300 USD with her, but she didnt use any of it. I am assuming your flight is direct into SFO. Also, You should be able to go through the USC line since your daughter is a citizen. Have a safe trip!

Why would you be exempted? Your daughter should be exempted if you are using her US Passport to leave the Philippines but you are a Philippine Citizen so you are required to pay the tax.

OP...the only way i know you'll be exempted from the travel tax is if you are not a filipino citizen. your husband and daughterwill not have to pay the travel tax but you will have to. so make sure you bring enough and then some! because once you go to the boarding area and you guys get hungry, the stores in that side ONLY takes cash. advice ko lang syo...pay your travel tax first before going to the check-in counter...para hindi ka pabalik-balik. right after you go through the first security check sa front door, the counter right in front of you will be where you need to pay it. be sure to get your passports and tickets ready because they will ask you for that. yung terminal fee mo you pay that pag papasok ka na sa boarding area.

if you are leaving the philippines with k1 visa you arent exempted to travel tax but your daughter is since she is a US citizen... also you both have to pay P750/each for terminal fee.. i left the philippines in 2007 with k1 visa and i had to pay travel tax.. 2 yrs later i went home for a vacation, they didnt ask me to pay travel tax since i am a GC holder, i was only asked to pay 200 pesos for travel tax exemption certificate or something like that which i thought i had to pay the full amount of P1620....

yeah i don't remember paying any type of travel tax (excemption cert or otherwise) when i went back home in 2005. but since my trip starting 2007, for the excemption certificate fee. maybe i've been paying it before but just haven't noticed it.

her problem would be...she would still not be a GC holder by the time she leaves. so she won't have that to show to them.

OP...my advise is call PAL and ask them how much travel tax you would pay in your situation.

Just to be safe, bring alot of money with you and that should take care of any problems that should arise. All i know at the airport there is PAYMENT here and PAYMENT there. The govt employees at the airport dont have any people skills.

The only way to find out if you are going to pay for the travel tax or not is to call the PAL office. Sometimes, it's already included in the airline ticket.

show mo na lang yung US passport ng daughter mo. but don't forget...even though you're the only one to pay travel tax, all three of you will have to pay for the terminal fee of P750 each (you'll be able to pay in $ as well kung wala kang dala Peso).
