I sent the rfe back yesterday through express post and it should arrive by noon time at lee's summit. I checked today and its enroute to lee's summit. This has added an extra 6 weeks but thats another story.

I sent them back over 50 pages of documents.

* Tax returns for 2004 and 2005. Earned $50+ each year. That should satisfy the 125% above poverty line that the rfe requested.

1040 - US Individual Income tax return.

1116 - Foreign Tax credit.

2555 - Foreign earned income.

My wife didnt have a w-2 form as she worked abroad last year in Ireland. I added a note explaining. I also called mis information line and got confirmation from 2 agents and an immigration officer.

* I also included a letter from my wifes employer stating when she started, how much makes etc. 3 recent payslips from my wifes employer.

- I also included the last 3 months bank statements.

In the rfe they asked for the federal tax returns + W-2 forms. They also asked for a letter from my wifes employer and some pay slips. I included them originally but who knows if they lost them or not.

When i called the USCIS customer service line the 2nd agent i spoke too was really nice and just to be on the safe side transferred me to an immigration officer as she didnt want any more delays for us.

We are hoping that this package i sent back will satisfy the rfe as i really need to start working soon.

They said in the rfe that they could determine if i was above the 125 % poverty line. My wife earned $50+ each year while in ireland. That should be more than enough to satisfy them.

I meant to say couldnt determine if we were above the 125% poverty line. The stupid edit button is not working properly. :P
