On the DS230 Question #32 asks for 10 years of employment history.

For periods of time where my wife was unemployed is it acceptable to put "N/A" for the Employer and Job Title and put "Unemployed" for the Title?

My wife got her first job in 2006 - but before that she was in school getting her degree. To fill the gap of the complete 10 year history, does there need to be an entry stating that she was a Student for several years?

Also, to be quite exact my wife finished her degree in mid-2005 but did not get her first job till 2006. So in this case does the entry need to capture all of that information (example: Student until mid-2005, Unemployed till 2006, Employed starting 2006 ???)

Thanks for any help !

Shouldn't be a problem. Fill in the DS-230 accurately and any discrepancies can be explained at the interview (if it even comes up.) Good luck!
