It's been almost three months since I filed for my UK-resident parents. Any idea how long before I receive an approval notice?

Thanks

Hi we are on the same boat. I've submitted an I-30 for my stepson on April 12 and until now there is nothing, aside from NOA1. The USCIS site shows it is still in initial review but when I check the processing time for an I-30 it says 5 months for the California Service Center. Hopefully, one of these days the processing will pick up again...

Yap, I have been waiting for mine as well... as an immediate family member, 21 years or younger. We got the NOA1 on the last week of March, 2010 for the California Service Center. They indicated that it should take five months for the processing time.

Does anyone recommend contacting the USCIS to see where the situation is at the present? Thanks.

I called today. They said that processing time for California is five months and that I should contact them again if I haven't heard anything by October. I thought the entire process took five months; I didn't realize that only the USCIS part takes five months and then you still have to go through the NVC process. Wonder how long the whole process takes?

for parents? under 180 days, for I-130 approval.

then figure 30 to 60 days at NVC, if yer pro-active, and push things into NVC.

then another 1 to 3 months before the interview date.

Good Luck !
