I think our case is in London by now, but I called the State Department and it hasn't been logged yet. I wonder how long it takes them to log it into the computer?

I'm impatient! Tom's medical is on Thursday and I spent all night going through the rough drafts of his packet 3 forms. We're finishing them up on video chat tonight.

Should I keep calling the State Department daily asking if our case has been logged, or should I contact the embassy directly?

I tracked mine on DHL (there is a thread about how to do it)... that way I can see it was delivered today.

Did anybody have trouble contacting NVC?

My fiancé has been trying to contact them, to see if they have forwarded our case, but without any sucess...

The line is busy all the time, it doesn´t ring at all...I even tried calling from here (Brazil) and nothing!

am I calling the wrong number? 603 334-0700 ??

I just want to know my case number and know if they have forwarded to my country :bonk: !

603-334-0700 then press 2,1,5. long wait but you can get around that by calling 202-663-1225 and then press 1,4,1,0. you should be talk to a live person. give them your uscis case number or the new NVC case number, they should be able to see if you case been forwarded.

I tracked mine on DHL (there is a thread about how to do it)... that way I can see it was delivered today.

any chance you got a link? to that thread?

I did that as well, and supposedly ours was delivered last week. I don't exactly trust this system since the numbers are annonymous.

Is there no way to contact the London embassy outside of the UK? Frustrating.

gap1, why don't your fiance call and ask? I'm sure it will be cheaper if he calls from UK.

He will. He's just busy today and can't do it until tomorrow. I'm just very impatient.

I waited on hold with the NVC for 30 minutes just to hear that they can't tell me if our case arrived at the embassy. I still don't understand why the State Department is closed today.

Hello to all those patiently waiting to join their loved ones! There is nothing like a little group therapy in a time of need. I was excited to see the movement in NOA2's for many July filers last week. I was hoping that since our NOA1 was received on 7/19/2010 I would see some action this week. It appears the CSC has either taken a short break from processing NOA2's after the holiday or a batch is about to come. The virtue of patience is something I am not blessed with. However, remain optimistic that July filers without a NOA2 touch as of yet will be blessed with one shortly.

It's 202-663-1225. They have all the info that NVC has plus they can tell you if your petition has been received by the Embassy, logged in, packet 3 sent, etc.

I don't have it handy because I'm on my phone but if you go to the NVC forum on this website, there's a pinned topic called "tracking case to embassy" I think and it'll tell you there. If not I can find the link.

I hope for the same. I wish there would be some movement in NOA2's. The freeze of actions @ CSC is killing me.
