I think our case is in London by now, but I called the State Department and it hasn't been logged yet. I wonder how long it takes them to log it into the computer?

I'm impatient! Tom's medical is on Thursday and I spent all night going through the rough drafts of his packet 3 forms. We're finishing them up on video chat tonight.

Should I keep calling the State Department daily asking if our case has been logged, or should I contact the embassy directly?

At least you have gotten that far. Imagine what we are feeling like over here still waiting for an NOA2. If I didn't love my fiance so much I would have abandoned this process long ago. I think many of us are getting the short end of the stick (and I am putting it nicely).

Have you thought about calling NVC to find out if your case is there? USCIS.gov wasn't updated for us nor was anything in the mail so I called just to see and sure enough it was there. Maybe yours has been approved but the letter is taking a long time.

You can just call the embassy directly and they will tell you if they recived it yet (I'm sure they have by now).

It does seem to go in cycles. When we submitted our petition in 2008 VSC was very slow and only after a transfer to CSC did we get our NOA2. Never seems to be any ryhme or reason to this process.

Good luck to all waiting, you will eventually get there!

Woah, how do you call and confirm the embassy has received our application? I just called the switchboard and she said I had to call an 866 number that would cost $16?! I'm not paying $16 for 1 phone call.

Hmm I have no idea how it works in London. Here in Slovenia the embassy has a regular phone number that you can call and ask. I guess it's different in London. Well you can keep calling DOS. They will know when your petition has been logged in.

My fiancé has been trying to contact them, to see if they have forwarded our case, but without any sucess...

The line is busy all the time, it doesn´t ring at all...I even tried calling from here (Brazil) and nothing!

am I calling the wrong number? 603 334-0700 ??

I just want to know my case number and know if they have forwarded to my country :bonk: !

Yes, but you have to keep trying non-stop until you get through. I kept hitting redial until it started ringing. It usually takes 15-20 tries, expect to be holding for 20 minutes.

I called the DOS today and it's closed? It's not a federal holiday...

Thank you so much for your tip...

The only problem is that there´s no way my fiance will try 20 times non stop, he hates that  , and I can´t keep making international phone calls from work :( , so now I don´t know what to do :bonk:

It is bs that DOS is closed, good luck on your next try.

Thanks again for the help ;)
